Our flexible schedules allow us to be home when your pet is trusted to our care. Plus, our teenager has a very light after school/summer activities and sports schedule. Together, we are committed to care for our guests just as if they were members of our own family. This includes taking your pooch with us when we need to be away from our home, if that is acceptable to you.

Information Jeannie & Robert W. would like to know about your pet
Our late Chihuahua was diabetic and required a special diet and insulin injections twice a day for nearly two years. We are very comfortable with administering medications, including injectables, oral pills, and topicals. Please let us know if your dog requires medication or has any special requirements. ***HIGH SOCIALIZING POTENTIAL*** Although we specialize in small dogs and intend to give your dog our undivided attention, your dog may encounter other dogs (typically the small varieties) in and around our home, and naturally, larger dogs may be present at dog parks. Please let us know if your dog does not do well with other dogs and we will take the necessary precautions. ***GROOMING REQUIREMENTS*** Please bathe your dog before the stay...maybe a day or two ahead. At our discretion upon your dog's arrival, at any time during any length of stay less less than a week if necessary, but certainly every seven to ten days during stays longer than a week or more, we reserve the right to bathe your dog and assess a modest grooming fee. Please understand that this requirement is necessary to maintain the cleanliness of our home and for our well-being and the well-being of other dogs in our care. We intend to personally communicate this to you at the time of your booking request. Your cooperation in this regard is sincerely appreciated. ???SADLY WE HAVE TO UPDATE THE LOSS OF OUR PAIR OF GUINEA PIG BOYS???
A typical day
Although we appreciate a senior dog who enjoys a quiet, lazy day spent lounging and napping, we are a mildly active family and can regularly get a more youthful dog out for a little play and some exercise, fresh air, and smells around our community***. In the process, we will work on a few training/obedience behaviors in a warm and caring way. When the weather is nice, we'll enjoy some time at local dog parks. After the stay, you may receive a Rover Reel that commemorates your pup's stay at the Lounge! ***MANAGING EXPECTATIONS*** We really do want to get outside with your dog as much as possible--good for your dog and good for us. To that end, we promise "potty breaks"...along various routes at various times for maybe 15 to 60 minutes. We really prefer potty breaks that resemble bon-a-fide "walks" whenever possible, as they most often do...weather permitting. ***AIRTAG TRACKING*** For your added peace of mind, we provide a well-fitted dog collar equipped with an AirTag--or one that attaches to your dog's collar. This will allow us to track and recover a clever guest who might escape our control. We take this precaution just in case.

Wardo’s Little Dog Lounge
Pet care experience
Good on you, friend! You want more than a cold cage for your pup. And you want a family to treat your pup with genuine care and affection when you cannot take her or him with you. So, thank you for your interest in our dog boarding services. As we live in Hagerstown, we offer free shuttle service for our clients along the I-270 corridor—Bethesda, North Bethesda, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Urbana, and Frederick—typically on Wednesdays and Fridays. Our clients are very welcomed to pick-up and drop-off at our new home if their plans take them through Hagerstown. We're excited to be in our third year with Rover! During this time, we developed wonderful and continuing relationships with many of our repeat guests and their parents. Find out for yourself why our clients trust us with their precious furry ones and refer to the Lounge as their dogs' "vacation home"...their dogs' "home away from home"...their dogs’ "second home/family". Many of our guests seem to develop friendships among themselves as they often encounter one another at the Lounge. We also understand that a few of our guests' parents have become familiar with one another and occasionally meet at dog parks for playdates. You are welcomed to apply promo code WARDOL86713 to save $20 if you are new to Rover. If our calendar shows we are unavailable, please don’t hesitate to message us just to be sure…we may be able to squeeze you in🐾🐾
Reviews

Jeanie and Robert are the best. They treat my pup like family and he loves his visits to their home. I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. I’ve used them over a dozen times and will continue as long as they allow.

Gigi, Robert, and Peanut were wonderful and took great care of our dog. Really spoiled her with attention and affection! We've used several Rovers and can definitely say they are tops!

I know that my dog feels comfortable here, he eats, when usually he loses weight when I go on vaca

I’m afraid to leave a review because I don’t want Jeannie and Robert to get all booked up!!! Jeannie LOVES little fur babies and treated Peanut as if he was one of her own. I was able to have an anxiety free 2 week trip to Europe because of the care and attention that Peanut received in Jeannie and Robert’s home. I will definitely be booking again!
