Pet care experience
My name is Jeannie, I grew up having a dog and a cat at a very early age. My love for animals was instinctual even at 2yr old, learning how to love and care for our family pets at a young age developed my desire to always have a pet to complete our home and to find time to work with animals in some way as I got older. I started working with Rover several years ago part-time because of my work schedule. I recently have changed jobs and now work from home allowing me to dedicate more time to Rover as needed. I decided to make a career change to enable more time with family, my pets and give more time towards my Rover clients. I am married and we have one dog, a Shih-tzu currently she is 10yrs and gets along with all dogs and cats. I recently lost my baby Cinnabun she was a Poodle/Jack Russell, she passed on January 25th 2023 from congestive heart failure, she was 20yrs old. Losing Cinnabun has been very difficult for me but spending time with others pets is good for my soul and healing. Cinnabun got kidney disease in 2014 so she went on kidney food and in 2018 she developed a heart murmur which eventually became heart failure despite all the medications and an excellent treatment team at CVCA (Cardiac Care) and her Vet Dr. Gonzalez which she saw every couple months to monitor everything. I did everything possible to give her more time, a quality of life and make sure she was safe and not hurting and surrounded by love. Her last year with us she went blind and deaf, it was so hard on her to see and hear for 19yrs and then all of a sudden her cataract worsened and her hearing soon followed. These difficult years in my little girls life taught me so much so I feel my experience has allowed me to become well educated, trained, sensitive and compassionate to aging pets that may have various medical conditions needing extra care physically and various medications, special diets, insulin injections, intravenous fluids, eye drops, teeth care and various other medical treatments as needed. It has been extremely difficult for me to lose my best friend but I know I will see her again and I will never let her go when that day comes ❤️. In the meantime I hope my journey will allow me to care for your pets when you are not able to as I have had dogs and cats for 30yrs of my life. If you contact me you will not be disappointed, I will care for their needs with the highest quality and they will be my priority and focus while they are in my care. I like to start all new clients off with a meet & greet, I feel that's the best way to go over all the important details about your pets routine, habits, personality, behaviors and medical needs. It is also a great way to make sure I am a good fit for you and your pet and make sure we discuss where everything is and how you like me to enter your home. If you choose doggie daycare we will do the meet and greet in my home so you will feel safe knowing your pet's environment for the day. I know first hand how scary it is to leave your pets when your at work or on vacation or simply gone for a day so it is so important to find someone you trust and feel safe with. I will shower them with the same love, affection, attention and gentleness that I shower my own with. Since I have owned dogs/cats for over 30 years of my life, I know how to love, protect and nurture your pets just like you would. I am very reliable, trustworthy and honest. Your dogs will be cared for with nothing short of compassion and tenderness and I will not enter any part of your home without permission so if you want me to just get their leash at your front door and leave for walk or play with your dog in a certain room or play with them in a fenced in yard it's all up to you, I will stay in whatever area of your home you prefer. Once I meet with you and your dog(s) and cats(s) we can set up the details and any particular schedule you like to keep so your pets feel safe in their same comfortable routines. I hope to hear from you and look forward to working with your furry family.
Reviews
Jeannie R. Is an excellent dog caretaker!! I recommend her services!
Another great day with Jeannie! My pups love the ample running space in the house and yard, Jeannie takes proper precautions to safeguard concerning areas (e.g. stairs), and it's evident that she truly engages with them through the day. She is very committed to following our routines and practices which only makes me feel that much more secure in choosing her to care for my girls. Picca does not take to new people as easily as Pacha but she is already reasonably comfortable with Jeannie so that's the most telling of all.
Jeannie is simply the best cat sitter, hands down. We knew immediately during the meet and greet that she was going to do a fantastic job with our cat, Nico, who has some health issues. She did not disappoint. We had a list of instructions and she did everything as we asked, which has not happened in the past. She was very kind and nurturing with Nico and we feel 100% comfortable leaving her in Jeannie's hands. We cannot recommend Jeannie highly enough. She's the real deal and we are extremely happy with her and her care.
Jeannie R. arrived on time. She had a great interaction with my labradoodle, let her out, played with her, and gave her treats. She took photos of her playtime with my dog, noted poop, pee, water, and food. I’d recommend her as an excellent dog walker/sitter. She’s welcome to visit with my dog anytime. A great find!
