Jeanne took good care of Murphy. She has made her home pet friendly and safe with a fenced in area outside. Murphy enjoyed playing with her dog as well as another dog she was sitting.

Jeanne is very careful who she takes in and makes sure the other pets are all compatible and safe companions. She puts the dogs safety first.

We will definitely be bringing Murphy back to Jeanne.

Jeanne watched our two dogs while we went on vacation. One is older, one is young. Jeanne was extremely responsive from the introductory meeting to picking them up. She has a nicely fenced yard for several dogs and a barn area to let them run around and play. It worked out great. They both seem happy and relaxed after their stay with Jeanne. We recommend her if you are in the Southern Maine area.

Country Living for your dog

There is lots of space for dogs to run here at Goose Summer Farm, we are set far enough off a country road, there is at least 2 acres of mowed land and in the fall, after the fields are mowed, 16 acres in all. I am home most of the day, if I am gone it is for short errands. I do have a barn with a horse, goose and cat living in it ...

What Jeanne would like to know about your dog

I love all dogs but prefer to take care of dogs who are socialized with other dogs, small to large dogs are fine, but prefer not to take the xtra large breeds. I have always had labs so am comfortable with them, Goldens, Boxers, and mix breeds. I once had a dog who understood french and liked to be spoken to in french. I prefer not to have the more aggressive breeds, I don't feel I am experienced enough for those dogs.

When Jeanne watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
I walk the neighborhood, the beach between Oct. and March, in the fall after tick season, my land, and in the winter, if the snow is hard enough, we continue waking on my land. we all love that! The dogs love the beach, mostly we are on a leash, but if I know the dog well and there are not too many people I will let them run free. there are no houses on our beach and no where else for the dogs to go. dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer months so we are restricted to the neighborhood.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
While many of my client dogs sleep with their owners, I do not have dogs sleeping in the bedroom. my own dog does not, she has a bed in the living room and that is where she sleeps. I have an extra large crate that I will use if a dog does not come with his own crate, but I prefer the dogs to sleep on their own beds or crates. many of my dogs come with their crates which they love. If there could be a problem with multiple dogs I will put at least one of the dogs in a crate when I am gone.

Time I'll spend with your dog
I am home every day, I do not work, but I do go out and run errands and could be gone an hour or two, on occaision, maybe three, but I do not leave dogs home alone for long periods of time. depending on the season and the dog, I might take the dog with me if it is not too hot or cold and I am runing errands locally. If for some reason I were going a distance on a holiday and had a client dog I would just take the dog with me.
