Pet care experience
I started taking care of the family dog when I was 9 and continued until I left for college at 17 ( 3 dogs later). I have owned cats and worked with horses; but dogs have been my primary focus Since then I have trained 2 border collie puppies of my own and helped to support others with their puppies lessons. I have administered medicines in all shapes and forms. If you can win their trust you are successful. No challenges are too big or too small. I absolutely love animals, and whether it is a very large horse or a tiny puppy - they each have their own personality. It makes me happy to spend time with them.

I returned last night from a 4 day trip while Jeanne watched my dog and cat in my home. It was my first time using Jeanne. She was very friendly and made me feel immediately comfortable. She kept in touch with me and I could tell my pets and my home were being well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Jeanne.
OMG YAY for Jeanne!! She’s an awesome hooman who will treat your doggo just like you do! She sent me pics & videos & took such wonderful care of my Yorkie. I can’t say enough great things about her. I will definitely be a return client.
Jeanne is the most wonderful caring person with a true love of animals. She was our neighbor for many years providing tremendous care and concern for our kids, pets, and home. My husband, Brian, and I have nicknamed Jeanne a “Pet whisperer”. Any pet left in Jeanne’s care will be shown so much love, kindness and patience. Our mutual friend hired Jeanne to care for their little, doggie girl, Chloe while they vacationed in Italy; Jeanne took excellent care of Chloe, just as if she were her own. When Chloe became ill (due to old age), Jeanne took her to her vet and administered the prescribed meds; she also had Chloe sleep with her until she felt better . My friend stated and I quote “If Chloe had been in the care of anyone else beside Jeanne, Chloe would not have survived”. Jeanne’s instinctual way of communicating with pets and just her great sense of humor with and around them have earned her the title of a Dog Whisperer Extraordinaire.”

Currently I live in an apartment that is pet friendly and located along the river walk where I meet numerous dogs. It also has a small, but sweet dog play area. I love to walk so exercise is not an issue. In addition, I house sit with pets so that they can stay in their home when you travel.

Is there anything that I should know about your dog? Is your dog open to "hellos" from others(people)? Is your dog friendly with other dogs? Does your dog have any "quirks'? For instance, my last border collie was very sensitive about her feet and ears. I have no breed preferences.
A typical day
Walks on the river walk are great fun! Lots to sniff! Definitely will play ball in the dog park - anything to use some of that energy. My last 2 dogs were Border Collies. If you know anything about the breed you realize my attention to lots of exercise. Otherwise, they will find something else to do in your home.

Availability
I work from my home and my daytime schedule is quite flexible. When I do travel, it is primarily Fri - Sun. I am interested in long term set schedules but am open to your needs. I'd love a chance to meet you and your pet.
