Pet care experience
Hello there! We’ve made the cross-country move from NYC back to where we’re both from, sunny southern California. We have a spacious family home in Oak Park with a backyard. Your puppers will have a sweet companion with our five-year-old German Shepherd, Kira. (Confession...she is our wonderful foster fail.) With lots of love and patience, we watched her transform from a scared, puppy mill mother to a gentle, loving, happy dog. Each day, her almost puppy-like curiosity of the world grew and we couldn’t resist! Fun fact - my boyfriend grew up in a household that bred and trained East, working line German Shepherds that ended up working for the police force. Thus, he deeply understands how each dog is unique and has different needs. From there, we make sure we provide the right balance of structure, physical and mental exercise, and of course, reward and play. Feel free to bring supplies that will make your dog comfortable (e.g. dog bed, favorite toy, food, treat, etc.) and let us know of any special needs and routines your dog may have. You can expect a lot of pictures and videos throughout the day of how your doggy is doing!

Dianna and Jean are great hosts. My very energetic GSD had a wonderful time at their home and they made sure she felt at home and spoiled her just the way I would have. I received great photos and a video of Lana during her stay. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl.
Jean and Diana were great. We had done a lot of searching on yelp and we didn't have any luck. 3 different people contacted us. 2 seemed to be interested in watching but from talking to them, it seemed like there would be many animals in a small space. One person had me book with them but weren't going to be around until the week of our departure. We are happy that a friend recommended Rover. I contacted 3 different people on Rover. Jean and Diana weren’t the first to respond, nor the cheapest but they had a lot of great reviews. We had an online interview, where they saw Rex and asked many questions. They were very prepared. After talking to all three people from Rover, and seeing one location, and interviewing with Jean and Diana, we took Rex to visit them. When we arrived at their residence, we notified them that we were there. Rex seemed very relaxed after a few minutes being at their residence. He enjoyed the company of Kira and wanted to play. We talked for some time and rex wondered around. We then discussed what are the next steps. We booked the appointment with Jean and Diana. When we brought Rex to their house for initial drop off, he voluntarily left (he was very happy to be there). We received many pictures and videos of Rex. He always seemed to be having a good time, playing with the other dogs. There wasn't any emergencies, so we are assuming everything went great. Rex was pretty active that first day back. He must have enjoyed being around other dogs. If we need to have a sitter, we hope that Jean and Diana are still available, as it seemed like a great fit for Rex.
Absolutely amazing!! It was our first boarding experience for our high energy puppy and we felt beyond comfortable leaving her with Jean and Dianna.
The best second family for my pup. My dog absolutely loves Jean and Diana.

A typical day
At night after dinner, we enjoy taking the dogs for a long walk around the neighborhood. We also enjoy going to the amazing Oak Canyon Dog Park to let them interact with other dogs or just get their zoomies out. Throughout the day, your puppers will get plenty of love and attention since we both work from home.

Availability
Both of us are work from home, with no plans to transition back to an office environment - between the two of us your dog will have all the time and attention any pup could ask for.
