Every dog is the best dog ever, fax

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jayson and I recently relocated to Eugene, OR! I've had dogs since I was very little (my family’s two Shar-Pei mixes taught me to walk!) and I've always loved them. When I was nine I got my own dog and I was engaged in all aspects of his care. I recently adopted a puppy of my own and her name is Willow! I'm especially great at getting out that excess puppy energy with long walks and many rounds of fetch! And for the older dogs, I’d gladly take them somewhere they can go at a pace that isn’t too harsh! For home visits or dog sitting I was taught to always respect the homeowner and their house rules, so there will be no complaints after I leave! I also offer bathing services, Im able to bring my own oatmeal based soap (which I haven’t found any dogs to have issues or allergies relating to that soap, oatmeal is also great for itchy/dry skin!), all I need from the dog owner would be a bathtub or hose to rinse the pup(s) off after! One of my favorite things to do with my dog, or any other dog that I get the pleasure to hang out with, is to find fun and engaging enrichment activities for them to participate in. An active dog is a happy dog for sure!

Safety, trust & environment

I currently live in an apartment with my 2.5 year old husky-mix, Willow. We go on 5-6 walks a day, each usually for about 30mins to an hour long. At least two of the walks are what I call “enrichment walks” because I walk her very slowly and encourage her to sniff everything even if she’s not going to potty on it. Lots of sniffing and exploring is good for dogs to stay active and keep them from getting bored. In the home Willie tends to be pretty lazy, but I try to get her to play tug or run around a bit during the day in between her small naps. Of course I do take lots of naps with her as well, we certainly are nap pros!

Information Jayson S. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences, but I’d definitely like to know if your dog is food or toy aggressive, or if there's anything I can avoid doing that may stress your dog.

A typical day

I try to take high-energy dogs to parks so they can do lots of laps and run a lot, but with lower-energy dogs I try to take them somewhere with lots of plants and grass to sniff. I also have a bad habit of spoiling every animal I come in contact with, so your dog might end up with a new toy (or two!!)
