I take extra special care of the dogs that come to visit my home. They get extra loving and snuggles. If your dog is high energy then I will spend time in the mornings before I leave for work and use up some of that energy. My experience, is that I've had dogs in my life for years. One had cancer and was very ill, a beautiful basset/beagle that stole my heart. My dog Molly gets along well with others and is laid back like me. She is 10 years old and doesn't mind the occasional visitor. I also have a cat that will hide most of the time. I have been dog sitting for friends for years and would provide references if needed.
