Hi, my name is Jaymie! I am 22 years old and have an extensive background in the veterinary field and animal rescue. I’ve grown up around animals all my life and have 3 dogs and a cat of my own. Dogs are truly my passion in life. I am very experienced with all types of dogs, especially large breed dogs and pitbulls. I have started my own chapter of a 501c3 nonprofit rescue here in Sacramento, which I am very passionate about! I worked as a recovery technician at a spay/neuter clinic for two years so I have experience monitoring patients under anethesia and giving medications, injections, fluids, etc. With my experience in the veterinary field you can feel comfortable knowing that your pet is in great hands. I am very comfortable around dogs and cats and can even work with scared or aggressive animals (within reason). I have a solid understanding of animal behavior due to my experience fostering dogs and working with shelter dogs (and even feral cats!). I have fostered all kinds of animals such as: senior dogs, blind cats, tripods, you name it! I am a full-time college student who will be graduating soon! My schedule is very flexible as all of my classes are online due to the pandemic. My favorite thing is long walks, which I have to do daily with my high energy dogs.
