Pet care experience
Hi my name’s Jay and I’m a passionate animal lover. I’m relatively new to Rover (hence the fresh reviews) but I’ve been providing pet sitting services since I was 10 years old (18+ years experience!). I understand that leaving your furry friends behind can be stressful, which is why I’m committed to providing the best possible care for your pet while you’re away. I offer a variety of services including feeding, playtime, walks, light housekeeping/chores, training, administering medication, and providing lots of love, attention, and socialization. Most of my experience is with dogs and caged/tanked critters, but I’ve recently begun adding cats to my repertoire as of 2022. My priority is to make sure you and your pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and will always keep you updated with photos 1x a day (or more per your request) and messages to give you peace of mind. I believe pets are a part of the family and deserve the best possible care. If you’re looking for a responsible, communicative, and caring pet sitter, don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!
Reviews
Jay is awesome. Dependable & great with dogs🌷
Jay was super sweet & a super star for walking Birch during the ICE STORM of ‘24 Very dependable person. Thanks Jay
Jay was a fantastic dog and house sitter. We'll definitely book with her again next time we need a sitter! She watched our 4 year old, high energy pittie mix for a week over Christmas. Jay was thoughtful and thorough to make sure she followed our instructions and reinforced our training. We could tell our dog was very well cared for while we were away! Jay is an excellent communicator and sent updates as requested. She also left our house spotless with everything just as we'd left it. Thank you, Jay!
Jay was great!! She took great care of our boy Nova, asked all of the right questions, and sent us an update while we were out to reassure my anxious mind!! We’ll definitely have her back to watch Nova again.

Safety, trust & environment
It’s extremely important for me to create trust and safety with my clients and their pets as a pet sitter. I provide that first and foremost with free meet and greet initial meetings with clients and their pets. I want to ensure we’re a good fit for each other and you feel at ease about entrusting your pet’s care into my hands before any money is exchanged. It’s important for me to check in regularly with my clients and send reports and pictures/videos to help bridge the gap while pet owners are away and I’m caring for their animals. If any transportation is necessary, I take care to use proper restraints like harnesses and carriers when transporting pets and ensure my vehicle is secure, well ventilated, and safe. I follow pet owner instructions for feeding including portion sizes, treat limits, dietary restrictions, and monitor unusual pet appetite and behavior. I take care to be present with with the animals I care for and reinforce their training while I’m caring for them. I’m fully comfortable administering medications to animals following pet owner’s instructions and am certified in CPR/first aide. Last but not least, I take pride in my professionalism and positive attitude, which makes a huge difference when animals can be sensitive to human energies.
Information Jay M. would like to know about your pet
I’m happy to accommodate any special needs your pet may have, wether it’s activity restrictions, special diet considerations, medication administration, or careful monitoring for a behavioral or health struggle. Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any allergies, behavioral challenges, previous aggression history, as well as if they’re potty trained or not.
A typical day
I love to practice training to keep them both mentally stimulated, as well as physically engaged. I maintain rotations of activities including calm pets, hiding toys to go find, fetch if they like to play, as well as walks. I understand that the dog park is not a great place for all dogs, but for those who’s humans endorse it, I also love to take pups to the dog park for some socialization and freedom to run around.
