DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG WITH THIS MAN!!! Previous reviews noted that their dog came back bleeding, with a hole in their ear, and now having seen his apartment I see why. I have no idea how he has so many other positive reviews. They are either fake or from people who got extremely lucky that their dog wasn’t seriously injured in his care. Rover needs to take him off the app but if you want to risk it and leave your pup with him, at least make sure you go up to his apartment and check it out for yourself. We have a 3 month old puppy he was supposed to watch. Something was very….off from the beginning. He didn’t read or ask about her care instructions. When we went to his place for the drop off, he left us waiting for 30 minutes (and we came at the agreed upon time). In hindsight, I don’t think he realized we planned on going up to his apartment and was trying to clean up in those 30 mins that he kept us waiting. When we saw his apartment I was absolutely horrified. He had a half open can of paint on the floor, power tools literally lying on the floor, along with a bunch of other garbage. The cherry on top was that there was another dog there sniffing the paint and he never told us another dog would be present during our dog’s stay (and his profile specifically says he only takes one dog at a time/no other pets are present). My guess is that this other dog was another rover pet and had been crated for their entire stay because they were exploring the apartment like it was their first time out and about. I am confident that if he had left our pup with him, she would have ended up dead or badly injured. There are too many other kind rover sitters. There is no reason to risk your pets life with this guy. Stay away!

Jay was the best. He and Nigel got along like they’ve been buds for years! Jay provided updates and photos with perfect frequency. He’ll be our go-to overnight boarding option going forward.
