Jay is awesome and he proved it with St. Bernard 8 month old "puppy" Keiko, which means about 80 lbs of young strong and still learning energy. It is hard to find someone who isn't scared of such a challenge, that is physically strong and understands dog psychology. My dog is great with other dogs and I told Jay this, but if you saw her behavior when she first sees another dog, you wouldn't think so. Jay took her to the doggy park, he evaluated her behavior as he approached, worked with her in a one-on-one enclosure, and he took her to play with other dogs slowly and he successfully took her to play with other dogs, a lot! He took control of her in a firm but kind way. He played with her, exposed her to the city and people and all of its dog distractions. His home is totally dog friendly and he is all about keeping her consistent to our training. I had a crazy day, and it was last minute emergency with a surgery and he worked with our schedule and our limitations that day. Keiko fist-bumped him on the way out, well, if she could she would have. She seemed happy and tired and totally comfortable with Jay and his home. Before I booked him we spoke on the phone and the feeling I got about him was right on with our experience. I wish he were closer to us as we live upstate but we will definitely be using him every time we have to be in the city with puppy monster ;) I cannot recommend him enough.

Jay has been a godsend. His patience and kindness with our puppy, Otter, has made our housebreaking and training SO much easier. He’s always careful to make sure he’s following our instructions so we’re being consistent and he handles our pup with as much love as we do. And it shows! Otter dances a jig when Jay arrives and knowng that makes having to leave him just a little easier. ***** highly recommended!
