Holiday & Summer Sitter
Pet care experience
I live with my fur-baby, Piper and my wife in a spacious condo in North Park area. Piper is a 10-year-old laid back puggle that loves to chill. I am currently only available for holidays and summer sitting while I am not in school. We own a two bedroom bottom floor condo in North Park/Central San Diego. We have a private communal courtyard within the complex with grass, shade, and sun (for those sunbathers). The courtyard is restricted access, locked, with a high gate and fencing. All of our neighbors are very dog-friendly. We have a few large parks and off-leash dog parks within walking distance of our house (which can be optional during your dog's stay) and we go on long daily walks in the morning and evening. I work part-time but I am usually home during the day and all evening with our guests. Your dog will be well taken care of with lots of room to play, romp, and have fun! About this sitter: My name is Jax, I am 32 years old and I am an avid animal lover. I love all types of animals, big or small. I have lots of experience with domestic breeds such as dogs, cats, and birds as well as reptiles and fish. Meet my pets: Piper a 10-year-old puggle, very laid back, under 20 pounds, not a barker, gets along with all types of pets large and small, and loves puppies!
Reviews
Jax is the absolute best! Jax really treated Luca like her own and impressed me with all of the questions she asked about Luca and his routine. She even got Luca a special cookie treat for his birthday when I wasn't able to be there. She kept me updated daily with pictures and well as texts. I have already booked Luca's next stay with Jax and will continue to use her every time that I need to go away.
Jax is a wonderful host. Our Amelia always comes back smiling and tired from playing. Piper (Jax's Puggle) is very sweet and easy to get along with. The entire apartment complex is super puppy friendly as well. Nearly every neighbor has a dog and there's a perfect grassy spot out front to roll around on. I highly recommend Jax B for your Dog Vacay needs!
Jax watched our dog a few times over the past few years for weekend trips and vacations. She was extremely flexible and prices can't be beat! A very comfortable clean home, and my dog was happy and tired once she came home. I would highly recommend her sitting and walking services to anyone.

Information Jax B. would like to know about your pet
I do not sit by breed preference, I only ask that before booking your appointment you take into consideration that I have a small breed low energy dog. I live around and near many different breeds and sizes that your dog would come into contact with so if you have an extremely high energy, aggressive, or territorial dog we would not be the perfect fit for you. If your dogs has special requirements or behavior quirks (separation anxiety, special diet, pulling or barking during walks) I ask you to make those needs known up front so that your dog will have a comfortable stay. I will not sit for dogs who are aggressive or extremely territorial with humans, other dogs, or cats for the safety of myself and my dog. When you make your inquiry, I would appreciate to know the size of your dog, temperaments & personality, and any special requirements as I want your dog to have the most comfortable stay or walk possible.
A typical day
We usually go on a 15 min to 1-hour walk (depending on breed, temperaments, and weather) around my neighborhood in the morning and evening. We live in a nice community with lots of grass areas and parks close by, and many doggie friendly neighbors that like to walk with us. We do not walk across or on any major traffic streets, strictly residential streets, and community parks. If we take a trip to the dog park to be off-leash, we go to Nate's Point Dog Park which is completely fenced it with TONS of room to run, play, and bark. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Your dog will sleep where he/she feels most comfortable. If you have a bed or kennel that they are used to, I recommend bringing it along so your dog will feel comfortable. We can put the kennel or bed in the same room we sleep in or in our living room. Time I'll spend with your dog: I am home for a good portion of the day and all evening with our guests. I work part-time locally so if I am gone it is about 5 hours at a time. I do go to school full-time so I am book appointments during holiday breaks and summer. Your dog would not spend the night alone for any period of time and could travel with me if any dog-errands need to be run.
