Ever since I was a child, I have never lived without a dog. I have no idea what life is like without animals and I would never want to know. I've had primary care over my animals for over 15 years, in that time having rodents, birds, dogs, and cats to love. Now that I have so much free time, I'm able to open my doors to more animals to make sure that they're safe and loved while their humans are away!(which is the best fulltime job ever!) I know what it's like to worry about where my pet will go if I can't take him with me on a vacation or short trip; I take Russell everywhere. I've also cared for pets with separation anxiety, those who need that extra dose of TLC to feel safe and happy. I have a house which I share with a few other animal lovers. The living room is an open area for play and lounging and can fit large dogs and their beds/crates easily if you so wish to bring these things. I do have 2 small dogs(shih tzu and Yorkie) and cat, so if you have a dog that is aggressive towards small animals/cats/small dogs, things might get a little hairy. I do prefer more time in advance with cats to make sure that they get along, though if they need to be in a separate part of the house we can easily work that out. I can administer oral medication and injections, and care for special needs or post-op dogs. Im happy to discuss their needs in depth! The same goes for letting me know about their diets! I take this job very seriously, so I want to make sure that I have everything to ensure your pets comfort. Same day booking is absolutely fine, even overnight, just be sure to bring everything I'll need, such as a crate or bed, or any special food or medicine. My yard is massive and has a patch specifically for digging (its been a hit so far!). As such, your furry friend will be able to have as many potty breaks as they need. That being said, please make sure their tags are up to date and that you bring their harness if they usually walk with one! House sitting is also a service I offer. Short length, extended length, and 24/7 stays are easily doable.
