Pet care experience
I own 2 high energy dogs, a cat, 2 pigeons, a lizard, and 3 horses. I've fostered rescue dogs including a momma with 10 puppies still nursing. I have training in Reiki for animals and am attending training for massage for horses and dogs. I also have an uncanny ability to get cats to like me. I love all critters and would be happy to help with yours.

For drop in visits I will thoroughly discuss with you the typical routine of your pets and what they will need during my time there. I can do leashed outside potty breaks or outside within a fenced yard. From my own animals I have experience with keeping different pets separate if needed (example keeping a dog separated from a cat) and one of my dogs has taught me extreme vigilance in ensuring your pet doesn't chew/eat anything it shouldn't. For walks I will confirm the preferred equipment with the owner whether simple flat collar and leash, prong collar, harness, or a combination. I have used a few types of harnesses, flat collars, martingale, and prong collars.

Please let me know about any training/behaviors you are working on so I can support your efforts and keep things consistent for your dog. I want to enforce the same "rules" you have for your dog so he/she has consistency and knows what's expected by humans. Things like, is your dog allowed on furniture, is your dog allowed to jump on people for attention, sit in people's laps, etc. Also please let me know if your pet has any anxiety about certain situations so we can either avoid those or prepare to work through it as applicable. Lastly please let me know about any destructive or dangerous behavior your dog might be prone to so I know what to keep an eye out for. My dog for example likes to eat fabric so I have to make sure she isn't chewing on anything soft and heavily supervise her around blankets etc.
A typical day
I love to find out what a specific dog really loves to do. I will talk to you about whether your dog loves to wrestle, play tug, play fetch, or just run around. I personally really enjoy a good game of tug a war with dogs. I can pick up my 60 pound dog with a rope when he's playing tug cause he goes hard when he plays. In the summer water games are also really fun for some dogs and can be a great way to get out some excess energy. My dog loves playing with hose water. The most important thing however is what does your dog love to do.

I currently work part time 3 days a week while building up a client base for animal massage so I have lots of time to add in pet visit and walking services both during the week and on weekends.
