My husband, Jason, and I love dogs! Our dog and our doggie guests are part of our family. If your furry friend needs a place to crash for the night (or week), this is by far the best place. We have years and years of experience caring for dogs. He/she will get lots of attention, exercise, and care! We will treat your furry babies as if they were our own. About this sitter: We are dog lovers through and through. Jen got her undergraduate degree and master's degree from Colorado State University from the College of Veterinary and Biomedical sciences and love dogs of all ages and breeds. I (Jason) got my B.S. in Business Administration from CSU and recently changed careers into Software Development (I’ll be the one handling the profile). We first started by sitting for dogs of family and friends, and have since expanded into caring for dogs on a professional level. We also have experience as a foster parents for rescue dogs in Fort Collins. Together, we have a LOT of dog care experience. We can work with your pooch on basic training and manners, provide baths and nail care, lots of exercise, and lots and lots of attention and LOVE! Our favorite care package includes trip(s) to the Cherry Creek State Park off-leash area/dog park, Douglas County off-leash area, where we work on off-leash training, swimming, retrieving, socialization, exercise and FUN!! This will of course be tailored to the needs of your dog(s) and your preferences. Following the trip, we provide a bath and nail trimming (done with dremmel or clippers, depending on dog and dog-parent preference). At home, we play with many toys, work on training (if desired), and have fun with your pet. After all the play and exercise we snuggle up on the couch to watch tv or cozy up by the fire! Things to bring when you drop off your pup: Food for fido (I can provide bowls) Leash, harness (if applicable), and collar A bed and/or crate if your doggie has one Eating habits and dietary restrictions Favorite toys, treats, etc. However, keep in mind that playing with our pup Clairebelle (toys/chews/bones/etc) may wear out sooner than at home, so please don't bring anything too expensive. We went (still go) camping, boating, hiking, and biking and our dogs always came along. They always slept in my bed! In college, I began fostering rescue puppies and volunteering to help get them adopted. My passion for dogs has grown and grown. Jason and I rescued/adopted our very first dog, Clairebelle when we graduated from CSU in 2012. We moved to Denver, and we started pet sitting there. We love every minute of it and can’t wait to adopt another pet soon! About our yard Our apartment complex is very dog friendly and has nice, large grassy areas within. It is very well kept up, and feels like a park! The entire complex is gated/fenced, but the yard itself is not, so leashes are required. It is beautiful and very green! Our experience administering medication: Yes! We are trained in the medical field, Jen a little more so, and we are comfortable giving all types of medication however prescribed.
