I am an SF native who grew up loving my Crocker Spaniel and Beagle dogs. Now in Hayes Valley, I love all the dogs in my building and neighborhood! I enjoy getting to know and bonding with a dog, whether loud/social, quiet or delicate, and being attentive to their needs. I live in best dog walking area, and have walked dogs for 4+ years. I don't consider this a job since I love doing it; one day I plan to adopt a pup of my own! Here in SF, I work remotely as a video editor. My studio and building are very open and dog-friendly, as are the nearby parks and spaces. I work mostly from home, where I live with my partner, Wei. Also, I only care for 1 dog at a time, but can look after 2 dogs if they both belong to you. I look forward to getting to know your best little friend, taking them on a walk and caring for them. Jason was super sweet and understanding despite my dog making some mess at his place.
Jason has been watching my Boston Terror (pun intended) Barney for a while now and it makes my life much easier when I travel for extended period of times. Jason sends me adorable pictures and updates periodically which works amazing for me. And Barney is always excited to see Jason which assures me that they both have a good time together. Couple times I have either missed my flight or had a delayed arrival and Jason has always been extremely accommodating and flexible. Would highly recommend Jason for your pet boarding needs.
Jason did a wonderful job taking care of Stubbie. He was attentive and Stubbie seemed very happy.
Loved that Jason was familiar with both beagles and senior dogs! Some people get turned off with the howling, and although Ranger doesn’t howl too much, when he does it’s very loud! Jason sent me photos and great updates everyday, and it was clear my baby was well taken care of. Thanks so much!!

I focus on helping your dog adjust to the new space with a different human (me). Familiar items like toys, beds, treats, or even an item with your scent (shirt) helps dogs with this process. In general, dogs like to sniff everything in the apartment, start out the window, sit on the couch or underneath my desk, and lay in random spots on the wooden floor. For dogs that have trouble with stairs, my building has an elevator. There are a couple other (friendly) dogs in the building, though we rarely run into them. Along walks, I remain especially vigilant with dogs that like to pick up food or other items from the streets. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns about environment.

Because I don't have a yard, I can only accept dogs that are fully house-trained. For this reason, I unfortunately cannot take puppies or some senior dogs. Sorry! Other than that, I am open to most breeds and temperaments - I love finding ways to make a dog feel right at home during their stay. Thank you!
A typical day
In my studio space, dogs love to stare out the window, lay on the couch or just wander around sniffing. I focus on helping your dog feel comfortable as they could be, so please let me know their favorite activities, toys or treats :) I enjoy taking them out on walks along Hayes Valley.

I love having a dog around because it allows me to take desk breaks and go on longer walks. I typically do a short walk in the morning, longer walk in the afternoon, and 1-2 walks/bathroom breaks at night. Playtime in the studio is also a fun distraction, and sometimes dogs love to run up and down the 4th floor hallway.
