Jasmine took very good care of our my pup. She sent photos and kept me posted. Good communication and was willing to take on with short notice. Much appreciation!

She was very nice. However not up to the task. She committed to caring for my dog at my airbnb in Prescott for the weekend. I was attending a wedding. His leg is injured and he cannot play around too much or get the leg wet. I touched base with her a day prior to the booking she confirmed that she was still available and just inquired if Mars could be left alone for a short while when she goes to get food. I said yes and that was it! Then she asked if she could arrive half an hour early. I clarified that I'm staying at an airbnb and check in cannot be changed but I would ask. I ended up running a bit late due to car issues and informed her promptly. That is when she told me that she has "a meeting" at 4pm. I was confused and asked if this was a Skype thing or an in person meeting. She stated "in person. From 4pm-7:15pm" I was confused since she committed to the whole weekend and stated there were no schedule conflicts. Then the truth came out. It was not "grabbing food" or "a meeting". She got called into work. I tried to be understanding and brush it off but I don't like being lied to. It feels as though she was trying to get away with not being there with him since I wouldn't have known. She showed up at 8:30 pm. Again she was very nice but barely interacted with Mars. She said hi to him and we chatted while I brought some groceries inside. I was hoping she would hang out with Mars while I did so but she put her airpods in and brought in her backpack and food while I wrangled Mars and the groceries. Her airpods stayed in about 98% of the time, even when I was speaking to her which led to me having to repeat myself. I again tried to brush it off seeing as she just came from work she must be tired. I recognized that the airbnb was out in the country and there were no street lights. I invited her to stay in the bedroom upstairs in case she did not feel comfortable navigating the roads at night and let her know that the bedroom was all hers. She went up there to put her stuff down, came down, took a few pictures of Mars, then went upstairs to eat some food she brought and she stayed there until i had to call her down. We then went over the schedule for the weekend and what she would be doing, when he eats, and his medications. I told her she could go at 10pm on that night and the next. She had her airpods in during this entire exchange. I left to meet up with the wedding party for planning, she messages me at 11 pm asking me when can she leave because it's getting late. I reiterated that I stated she could leave at 10pm. I asked her to take him to the bathroom and make sure the door was firmly shut before she left. When I returned at 11:30 Mars ran out the door and took the biggest pee. Perhaps she took him and he just didn't go but it concerned me. She came back on-time the next morning, I stated that the wedding party is coming for brunch and I would need her help watching him, keeping him occupied and out of the way, i also asked her to take him on a walk. She stated she would take him on a walk at 9am. She said okay, gave him a quick pet, then went upstairs. .....then she just stayed there. 9am came and went. At 9:15 I called up and reminded her about the walk and that he is whining for the bathroom. I sent him upstairs to be with her at this point so she should have known. She said "oh I just thought he wanted to go downstairs." She took him out and when they returned I offered him water, she stated he was drinking from the creek. At this point a I was quite frustrated since I specifically requested her to keep him away from the creek due to his bandaged leg. I again brushed it off and offered some fresh water. She then went back upstairs and said she would take him out again around 11am. Once again 11am came and went. At 11:15 I called up and asked her to take him outside since guests were arriving. She did so and when she brought him back, she went back upstairs. I understood that there were a lot of people in the house at this time and it would likely feel awkward for her to be out with everyone. However she didn't try to bring Mars upstairs with her and didn't ask about it. In a polite attempt to get her to come down a while later I called up to let her know she was welcome to fix herself a plate. I did so again a half an hour later and asked her to take Mars potty. She did so or attempted to. His kennel was outside at the moment to make space for everyone and she let him pee on it. She said she couldn't stop him. That potty break lasted less than 5 minutes. She then filled a plate, warmed it up, and went back upstairs without Mars. Later on I asked her to come down and be with Mars while I went to the store so that he wouldn't get into anyone's way. I trusted that she would come down since she had before. When I returned it turns out she stayed up there for an hour, came down, gave him a treat, refilled her plate with food, then went back upstairs. I was only gone for a little over an hour. When I came home she was upstairs and people were falling behind getting ready for the wedding because he was in the way. I asked her to take him potty since he once again was whining to go. She ran down and took him out and came back so fast I thought she hadn't done it yet. When she clarified that she had and during this conversation she was already halfway back up the stairs, I asked her to leave and decided to bring him with me to the wedding. She asked if she should come the next day and I requested that she not return. Due to his bandage getting wet and him being more active than he should've parts of his wound re-opened and got irritated (I have pictures). We have now been set back in his healing process that we've already been on for 3 months. She was very nice but I would not trust her with anything more than walking or drop-in visits with an able-bodied animal. Perhaps this was just a bad weekend for her but I am very let down.

Jasy, was great. She’s a natural with animals. She and Emmett (my collie) became close friends after her drop ins and her visits during the summer.
