hey!! thanks for checking out my profile. i'm a part time professional dog trainer looking to make some extra cash and have fun doing it. i currently rent a room in palo alto, but i can travel. because of the nature of my work, i have a very flexible schedule, and i am also especially equipped to handle dogs that may require a little bit more of a watchful eye, whether that’s a puppy or a possibly reactive dog. while i don’t do any training as a part of my services, i’d be happy to arrange working with your pup separately!! i have a dog of my own, a one year old old golden retriever named finley, who is also a service dog. he is task trained in medical alert, medical response, and mobility assistance work. i have such a soft spot for golden retrievers!! i also have a new puppy, a belgian malinois, so trust me when i say i understand the puppy struggle!! dog walks: i’d like to know how your dog walks on leash. i am very familiar with dogs that pull or lunge or go on strike and stop walking or are overly friendly or a little anxious, and i will work hard to make sure your dog gets the exercise they need, regardless of how they are that day. if they would rather stay home and play, i will ensure they get just as much exercise as if we went out. there is nothing i cannot handle, but i like to be prepared!! drop in visits/in home sitting: i can drop in or take to my place just about any kind of dog. i started by raising puppies for a guide dog program, so i am all too aware of what very young puppies require, and am not just able, but willing to take on that task. along with that, i am also equipped to safely exercise and work with senior dogs and/or dogs who have injuries that may restrict their movement. overnight stays: staying in their own house is a great alternative to boarding, which can be stressful for some dogs!! i’d love to help out with that and stay over with your pup to make everything go as smoothly as possible. just as is my philosophy with dog training, no two pets are the same, and i’m committed to working with you so that your individual dog has a great time!!
