One of Jarrett's most prominent attributes is that he is driven by responsibility. For as long as I have known him (more than 10 years), he has put his own needs behind duty. This is evident through both his work experience and his education. Since age 14, Jarrett has been a dedicated, driven employee. Throughout high school and college, he worked at least 20 hours a week at a local grocery store, and often as many as 28 hours a week. As a result of his strong work ethic, he was given additional responsibilities. By the time his tenure at the grocery store ended, he was a senior employee and directly supervised the entire produce department. After he moved to Minneapolis, Jarrett continued to demonstrate his work ethic, working efficiently and diligently. He never shies away from going the extra mile, whether that means working extra hours in the evening or sacrificing time with his friends on the weekend. When Jarrett makes a commitment, he will stand by that commitment no matter what. Jarrett's nature as a responsible individual is equally evident in his education. Throughout high school, Jarrett pushed himself academically. Having enrolled in challenging courses and building a strong transcript, he was accepted into the prestigious Grinnell College, one of the most rigorous liberal arts colleges in the country. Even while working as many as 28 hours a week, Jarrett took challenging courses and studied hard. After four years, he graduated with a well-earned degree. As a result of his cumulative work experience and his advanced education, Jarrett has become a multi-talented individual with a dedication to others. The diligence that Jarrett demonstrates will undoubtedly show when he works as a dog caregiver. Moreover, he is an extroverted individual who can get along easily with others.
