Every Animal I work with gets an unofficial physical and behavioral assessment. I make a mental map of their physical tendencies in their gate and tissue activity. I catalogue their communication styles and take a "dampened stimulus" approach to interacting with them. In this way, they feel recieved, seen, known and respected within moments. With consent to rest my hands on them, they guide my healing palpations by speaking verbally and physically to me directly. They'll be encouraged and celebrated to communicate the feelings and boundaries they naturally tend towards and in time given appropriate challenges to carry out as an opportunity to display their commitment to respect and trust our bond. By establishing my respect of their boundaries, an intuitive healing touch that generates an intimate trustfulness, resonant assertiveness and a playfulness that matches their style of communication they understand I am a compassionate alpha and they feel most safe with me.
