I am a true dog lover and have experience of owning various breeds over the years such as a Maltese terrier, Gordon Setter and a couple of re-homers. Saying that I prefer to have small up to a medium sized breeds. We have a peaceful, calm home with no children. Your dog will enjoy plenty of long, country walks, rain or shine, we'll be out there keeping fit! Your dog will become part of the family and be as loved as if it is in it's own home and I will do everything I can to ensure your dog feels relaxed and comfortable but I'm afraid I cannot board dogs who are used to sleeping in their owners bedroom. I have a large kitchen/diner and they are very comfortable and secure on their own bed downstairs. In my experience so far, dogs will probably bark and whine if they are used to sleeping in the bedroom. I also have an estate car with a dog guard to take dogs further afield to the woods or country parks and friends with dogs to socialize with. I now have a lovely group of doggy house guests who come back regularly to me and have become part of the family. On short stays of less than 4 days, it is an extra £1 an hour over the 24 hrs. For instance, if you drop off at 12 midday and collect at 8pm the next evening, there will be an extra charge of £8. Occasionally if you require sole occupancy for your dog, if they do not socialise well with other dogs for instance, I can discuss fees for this request.
