I'm honored you're considering me for the care of your loved one! I'm a long time dog owner with over a year of volunteer experience at the SF SPCA, the leading no-kill shelter in San Francisco Bay Area. I was trained up to the "target" level, which allowed me to spend time with dogs with severe behavioral issues. In my time with them, I learned a lot about handling difficult situations, working with reactive and/or shy dogs, reading body language, and helping with basic training. When dealing with dogs, my most important goal is to keep them safe, happy, and work at their own pace. Dogs truly have their own personalities and comfort levels, and I think it's important to understand and respect that. Does your dog need lots of mental stimulation and exercise? That's great! Is your dog more shy and just needs companionship and confidence building? Well that's just fine too. No two dogs are the same and I will never treat them that way.
