No Females in Heat
I felt entirely lucky to have stumbled upon Janine in my Rover search for drop-in care of my German Shorthaired Pointer. Janine quickly put us at ease (me AND my GSP) when I left my dog with her. Janine's home is welcoming, clean and tidy with a backyard plenty big for my dog to burn some energy. Clearly, Janine has a genuine interest in dogs, and she brings quite a bit of patience and many ...
Janine was absolutely FANtastic! This was the first time we've left our furry family member with someone other than family. However, from the first meet-and-greet to the post-stay pickup, Janine truly felt like family. She is so kind and obviously LOVES dogs. Janine sent daily pictures and messages. We always knew our dog was well taken care of. Because of Janine's personality and love of dogs, we were able to enjoy our vacation without worry ...
Janine is fantastic! We have a special needs pitty who we have always been anxious to leave. Janine has taken all of our worries away! She is kind, considerate and attentive to our baby. It is so reassuring to leave knowing he is in amazing hands!
Home away from Home for your dogs!
I have been a dog lover since childhood, and a dog owner since my adulthood. Charlie Brown (chocolate lab), Howie (brindle bullmastiff), and Hercules (bullmastiff) were beloved family members. I miss caring for dogs, and thought I would foster until I heard about Rover. I will care for your family member as if they are my own. If they are comfortable riding in a car we will access the lakes around my home, dog parks ...
What Janine would like to know about your dog
I would like to know something about the dogs temperament, and preferences.. How are they around kids, and/or adult strangers. What is their routine - how much exercise can they manage. Do they need to run, walk, or just have some active playtime in the yard, or in the house. Do they sleep in a crate, in a dog bed, or with their owner. What or how are they comforted - do they need quiet, or need to be held, tummy rubbed or gentled petting with a calm voice and setting. Are snacks allowed and if so what kind. Is the dog being trained in some way so that I can continue those efforts for continuity. How often do they need to go out to "handle their business" :)
