We are a family that loves puppies!

Pet care experience

A few years ago, our family needed to be out of town for over a week. It was so hard to find a place that I felt comfortable leaving our dog because she really is part of our family. I wanted to make sure she felt safe and cared for and hoped someone else would be able to connect with her while we were gone. I also wanted to leave her in an environment she was used to. I didn't realize how important all of that was until I needed to find a place or someone I trusted. I would like to provide that type of family environment for your pet. I pay attention to details and any special instructions that matter to you. I do have experience in working with the sensitive breed of cavaliers and therapy dogs. Thank you for considering. Boarding services 24 hours (example, morning drop off = morning pick up) Day rate = $55.00 Drop off and pick up hours are between 7:00 Am and 7:00 Pm. PUPPY PRESCHOOL 🐾 I offer 8 hours of service between the hours of 7 AM to 5:00 pm (extended care rate is available) @ $5.00 per extra hour. I am a full time Rover worker. Between myself, my husband and two teenage boys, someone is always home to be with your pup. My day revolves around providing the best routine for your dogs individual needs. I have a large fenced backyard where the friends who come to play have a blast chasing each other. They absolutely love my dog RowZ who loves to take turns playing fetch. Inside I have cozy spaces or a crate can be used for the friends to enjoy a snack or take a nap. I provide a routine catered to their specific interests and personality. They take turns playing with each friend who is visiting that day. I positively coach them with love and affection.

As always, an amazing stay with Janine! Our pup had so much fun. He’s always jumping to run into their house as soon as we are there.

Janine is the very best! Our pup has had a weekly daycare date with Janine for a year now. Della has stayed with her several times while we’ve been away on vacation. Knowing she is loved and so well cared for while we are away is such a gift and gives us huge peace of mind.

Janine is so nice and friendly. She sent so many pictures of our dogs. My dogs are soooo happy in her home and got so much love and kisses. I will definitely recommend her to all my friends who might look for dog care or boarding

Fantastic as always! Janine has been our regular sitter for a year now and we adore her! My pup jumps around in the backseat the minute we turn down her street. She always sends plenty of photos and I know she gives a ton of love to all the pups visiting each day!

A typical day

PUPPY PRESCHOOL I am a full time mom, wife and Rover worker. I specialize in puppy socialization and playtime. What I enjoy the most is watching your dog have the best time possible. My day revolves around connecting with your dog by letting them explore and experience as much fun as they can. I create a schedule around what I find interests your pup the most... * Playing ball * Tug of war * Chasing friends (keep away) * Wrestling with friends * Burrowing in the sand pit * Snuggling and affection * Taking a nap * Chewing on a favorite chew toy I offer individualized attention to the developmental stage your dog is in and reinforce any positive training methods you are using. I provide a consistent playtimes, eating times and nap times specifically appropriate to each dogs energy level and rest requirements. I match the personality’s of the puppies and adjust their schedule for one on one playtime or group socialization as it best fits with the situation. We will play rain or shine! I consistently encourage good habits and reward appropriate behavior with positive reinforcement. I have limited openings available to provide optimum individualized attention as this is my full time job. I establish a trusting relationship with your dog and assist them in having good friendships with the other friends that come to play. I send pictures of the funnest thing your dog participates in every few hours. I work together with you to find out what brings out the best in your pup. CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS... How I work with breed tendencies and puppy phases. It is important for a dog to have an established relationship with a safe and consistent person in a known familiar environment to internalize healthy habits/corrective alternatives and positive behaviors. I work with your dog to decrease challenging tendencies such as jumping up, barking, eating dirt/mud/bark, climbing, eating paper towels, stealing socks, mouthing, counter surfing and separation anxiety. I study what methods work best with your dogs personality and through trial and error, replace problematic behaviors with positive ones. I find out what works for each dog and gently steer them from unwanted behaviors to help them associate it with a more positive alternative. DROP OFF and PICK UP... It is important for me to have smooth transitions with drop off and pick up times so I will ask you to give an ETA of when you’re on your way. Depending on the day, and to avoid the dogs becoming anxious, I will let you know if it’s best to come to the front door or have someone bring your dog out to you. Since we play rain or shine, I need advance notice to have them dried off and calmed before they go home. Advance notice is also important because besides making sure they are dried off, make sure they have gone potty and have their leash and any other items together. If your day changes and you need to pick up early or later than the time specified, just let me know and I will plan accordingly. Your dog will be exposed to... * A large fenced backyard to chase their friends and play. * Sights, sounds, smells, and surfaces. (I will introduce your pup to new things during their developmental years to build confidence) ex, stairs, water, normal household sounds. * Other people, a family environment ( my two teenagers and husband offer extra affection, playtime and assistance) * Nap time/quiet time. A space of their own will be provided for them to become familiar with and retreat to for downtime, feeding time or chewing time. Your dog will be engaged in the best possible activity for their unique personality the entire time they are here keeping breed and temperament in mind. Each person in our family contributes to your dogs play day or staycation! We look forward to the time your pup comes to play and treat them like a family member! Our golden lab Row-Z naturally and gently plays with pups encouraging appropriate puppy manners! She brings out the best in all the dogs who join the pack! ADDITIONAL SERVICES Walks $15.00 over 1 hour $30 Crate training $10.00 (assessment required) Basic training $10.00 (apon assessment) Social visits ranging $10.00- 30.00 (trips can be arranged to public settings for social exposure) I provide high quality basic care. If you have certain things you would like me to specifically work on consistently please let me know.
