I love spending time with dogs! I've had the pleasure of living many in my lifetime. I find it eady to form a special bond with the dogs I meet., and often get feedback along the lines of, "wow, we've never seen our dog take to someone as much as they do you!" There are 2 sharing life with me now - both friendly to other people and dogs they meet. One loves to play, the other is a little mother. We have daily access to a nearby friend's fenced-in backyard, and live very close to the Warner Parks for plenty of playtime opportunity! Friends have often commented that they'd like to come back as one of my dogs - for good reason! I dote on them, and will be just as good to the dogs I watch. I have experience with both having pets stay in my home, and in staying in the pet's home. We can decide on an individual basis which will work better for all concerned. I am home with the pets most of the time. I prefer a healthy dog, but will consider the specifics of the special needs or illness that needs treatment and decide if I can make adequate allowances in my schedule during the time my petsitting services are needed. It is usually pissible. I will take great pains to see that a "furperson" is well loved, exercised, and cared for while their folks are gone! I've had rescue dogs of my own with separation anxiety, and am experienced in helping soothe their fears.
