I am definitely a pet lover. I have had many dogs in my lifetime.....spent 50 years of my life with a dog by my side up until 2017. Our 14-1/2 year old dog passed away in June of 2017 and we are "empty nesters" now. It is very lonesome here, and we have decided to dog sit to fill the void. It's coming up on 6 years now that we have been dogsitters. I do not have larger dogs listed over 41 pounds, but would make exceptions. These large dogs must be calm, not able to jump a 4 foot fence and be well trained. We have a nice fenced yard with plenty of roaming space. PLEASE NO DOGS THAT CAN JUMP OVER A 4 FT. FENCE. Your dog will have the run of our house and plenty of attention and love. I may even be sympathetic if your dog really, really wants to get up on the couch with me!!! There will be no competition with any other dog. If you have more than 1 dog in your family I will be glad to keep both of them. We have a soft spot for senior dogs, too. We prefer dogs that are house trained, though. Either my husband or I will be home most of the time with your dog. My husband is fully retired, and I work PRN about 6 hours per week. Also, it would be great if you bathe your dog before his/her visit with us. That way, I may sneak them in my bed!!! I have been taking care of a huge amount of dogs with health issues. Some are on special diets where I need to give them scheduled medicines or special diets where I need to use oils, vitamins, precooked protein for their food. Most of those dogs would not get this specialty care in a boarding facility. Also, some dogs can't or don't want to be left alone. So, that's the reason for my price. Also, as you know, that total amount doesn't all go to my pocket. Your dog will get loving care all the time by us. Some dogs don't want to go home when picked up!!!!

Janice has such a way with my crazy little dog Drew! She truly makes us feel at ease when he is with her, and sends so many wonderful pictures and updates! There has never been a better sitter-she is THE BEST!
Janice was awesome with Chief! She treated our dog like our own and took him on lots of walks and played lots of ball. We are so thankful to have found her on Rover!
Who would have thought that you could go on the Rover app and find someone like Janice Robinson to care for your pet? We had a pretty urgent situation come up and I needed some help with our sweet dog, Drew. I had never left Drew with anyone except family, so taking him to someone’s house was a big undertaking for us. Our anxiety was quickly alleviated as Janice and her dear husband welcomed us in to their home like our own family would. Her expertise with dogs and overall warmth, as well as her perfectly appropriated spaces for Drew to roam let me know that we had made the right decision. Her rates are incredibly reasonable, and her daily updates, complete with photos, made me feel like our puppy was on vacation at a luxury resort! All I can say is, if Janice happens to have an opening on her calendar, don’t walk-RUN to book her services!
Janice is the best sitter I’ve ever had. She’s loving and attentive and provides lots of updates while sitting. I’m so comfortable knowing my pup is safe and being well treated.

I have a nice, large, fenced in yard. There is plenty of room to roam and play. I have no other dogs of my own, so your pup will get all the attention. If your dog is bathed and clean, I will allow on furniture and bed depending on the size of your dog. They have the run of the house most of the time.

Most important is your emergency contact. We love dogs of all breeds and sizes. No aggressive dogs please. I can give medications to your dog. Is your dog spayed/neutered? Is your dog free of ticks/fleas? Is your dog completely house trained? Does your dog have anxiety, any fears, bad habits? Where does he/she sleep at night? Where do I leave him/her when I leave the house? Does he/she have a history of biting, chewing, digging, or scratching on furniture? I would like to have a "meet and greet" before we accept to make sure we are both a match. I also would like to make sure all their immunizations are up to date. Do you have key commands and/or nicknames for your dog? Can you bring any toys, beds, meds, kennel or crate, food, leash to make his stay more like home?
A typical day
We have a nice back yard that is fenced in. We will throw the ball, play and engage your dog with any activity that he/she would like. If it's not too cold, we can walk your dog as long as he/she is good on a leash and doesn't fight with other animals on the adventure. Drop off and pick up times can be worked out when we book. The charge per day is within a 24-hour period. There is an upcharge for holidays (day before, day of, day after)

Availability
Your pup will be with someone almost every second unless we are at church or out together running errands. We spend lots of time outdoors on our deck and in the back yard.
