They just make my heart BURST
Pet care experience
Hey there, thanks for stopping by my page! I have 5+ years caring for dogs (and cats) on and off, and am eager to add to those experiences! Working doing something I absolutely love to do is so liberating. I absolutely adore all animals and bond with them instantly. I feel such a tremendous connection to animals that caring for them is effortless for me. I am extremely affectionate, and I simply love them, I can't find better words than that <3 I am happy to spend some time being trained on the best way to take care of your furry friend, so I can provide them with the same routines they have with you! This will help minimize any anxiety or discomfort for them :) I don't currently have any pets, so my schedule is pretty flexible!
Reviews
Janet has cared for our (very) busy and active Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix while we were away for holidays. She also engages with him on a weekly basis for "let outs" and entertainment. She is compassionate and caring, and yet firm when required. She is conscientious and ensures that our dog has felt loved and cared for. She is a true "animal" person, and we will be using her again!
Janet took care of our dog Maggie on a recent trip to Costa Rica. Her love of animals and care she provides is excellent. She kept us updated regularly while we where away. Would recommend Janet 100%.
Janet loves animals (specifically dogs) more than people. She absolutely adores animals and is she completely lights up around them. Janet has a special connection with doggos; she treats them gently and lovingly always. I trust her blindly with any animal, a true animal lover.
Janet is a delightful young lady. She loves dogs, especially my Havanese, Halle. For a few years she was able to look after Halle in her family home, where the dog was very loved and spoiled. Occasionally, she would phone and ask if she could come over for a “Halle fix”. I think she was more upset than I when Halle died of cancer...my fifth dog death, her first! She always said Halle had part of her heart. Strongly recommend her services!

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I cannot host, but when entering someone else's home I like a very thorough tour of the house/yard, run down of the dog's usual routine, and comfy spots. The less interruptions to their daily habits the better for them. I establish rapport with lots of physical touch, and a gentle overall demeanor.
Information Janet L. would like to know about your pet
No preference for breed, I would just like to know in advance if the dog is aggressive at all or any triggers that the dog might have. Of course food sensitivities, and if there are certain physical touches that makes the uncomfortable (ie: some dogs prefer being pet under, as opposed to over their face)
A typical day
I will go on walks anywhere that is safe and suitable for a dog; if there's a beach nearby even better! I love to engage with animals, so your pup can expect plenty of play fighting, lots of petting and lots of kisses. If the dog feels comfortable, I've found that off leash parks are an excellent way for them to socialize and get plenty of exercise. They really get the opportunity to run at full speed in that setting, as opposed to walking on a leash.

Availability
I am available on shorter notice for visits or walks. For overnight visits I do need a bit more notice. I am self employed and if a more routine schedule is needed, I can work your pup into my schedule on an ongoing basis.
