In 2001 we adopted an English Springer Spaniel. She taught us to be good dog parents: to listen, to play and to love. Dogs teach us to be better people. Since losing our Springer we have had the privilege of helping out some of our friends by taking in their dogs when their schedules get too harried or they head off for destinations that do not cater to dogs. Just a few months ago we adopted a little miniature poodle who was in need of a good home. Her name is Weezie. She's very sweet and gets along with kids and other dogs well. Much of my work is done at home and so I am more available to care for pets than ever. The community green way is literally in my back yard and walking a dog is the best way to explore the path. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and lots of companionship.
