I am definitely a "crazy" dog person - I love dogs so much! I moved from Southern California in January 2018, where I worked in biotech. I live with my husband, who is a dog lover as well, and works as a physics post-doc at Yale. We have a big fenced in backyard and lots of toys for your pups to play with! I am an active person who enjoys hiking, jogging, biking, etc, and therefore can definitely meet the needs of any high-energy pups who want to explore. My "go-to" walk is a hike up to East Rock and fetch/frisbee playtime in the grassy fields behind the East Rock dog park and the Corsair. On nice, warm days, I LOVE to take the pups for a day trip to Lake Mohegan or Daniels Ave dog-friendly beach. I like to provide treats throughout the day, such as bully sticks, blueberries, peanut butter Kong’s, and freeze dried beef liver treats - and I always make them “work” for the treat by obeying a command. So let me know if your dog has any dietary restrictions! I have owned dogs my whole life, and have experience potty-training and crate-training puppies, as well as medicating and accommodating senior doggies. Doggies are always supervised and never left alone. I am pretty lax in the house (allow dogs on the bed/furniture), but I am more than happy implement any rules that owners have in their own home. I am attentive and patient.
