I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. I raised my own 13:5-year-old pitbull-lab mix, Nala, since she was a puppy. She was always a very active dog; requiring daily walks and ball-throwing in the park. As she grew older, she required daily medication for arthritis, but that didn’t keep her from still enjoying her walks and swimming, just at a slower pace and with some assistance. Unfortunately, she passed from complications of old age. She lived a long, beautiful life and is missed dearly every day. I am a very active person and enjoy taking long walks/runs, no matter the season. I enjoy hiking and biking in the warmer months. Dogs bring so much joy to my life that I feel doing this type of work would be very rewarding and fun. I am very patient, kind, and nurturing to animals. I would be available to take care of your dog for short or long-term and would work with your schedule to accommodate yours and your dogs needs.

A typical day
I will go to wherever you feel comfortable. I like to take my dog to leash-less dog parks where she can roam free, as this is her preferred method of walks, but I would also take her on walks throughout the neighborhood. I can throw a ball/frisbee/toy-of-choice for as long as necessary. I always carry my collapsible water bowel and water to keep dogs hydrated during exercise.

Availability
I work full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:45 am to 6:30 pm. During my work hours, I would drop my dog off at my father’s home to watch her while I was working. He is retired, also enjoys the company of furry animals, likes taking them for walks in the neighborhood, and has a large fenced backyard for them to do their business and roam around. However, I would be happy to check on your dog during my 1.5-hour lunch break and take them for a walk.
