Pet care experience
I love animals and I know they are a part of your family. Thank you for giving me the privilege to take care of your loved one. I grew up with a bichon frise. We got her when I was 12, and I took a lot of responsibility in caring for CeCe. From owning a dog, I know that a dog is not just a pet. He or she is part of the family. Since moving to Saint Louis, I have not had my own dog to care for. I did live with a beautiful Golden named Luna for two years in STL. She and her owner (my friend and old roommate) recently moved out of state, and so I am more enthused to love on dogs than before. I have sought out lots of experience dogsitting for various kinds of dogs in various situations. I make sure the dogs get the attention they needs, and they get their needs met. I am an organized and friendly mental health professional. I am prompt, and always responsible and reliable. I always make sure to have the house cleaner than when I left it. I am good at communicating with the dog owners to find out what their needs are.

Janelle was a wonderful sitter for my long-haired dachshund, Sylvia-Louise! She sent me updates about the people they met out on walks and pictures of her snuggled up on the couch. I would recommend her (and have) to other pet owners!

I have taken care of and loved dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have worked with energetic golden retrievers, and I have experienced quite elderly dogs. I do have a special bond to smaller dogs.
A typical day
Our walks and fun activities completely depends on the needs of the dog and what the owners feel would be best. I would find the nearest park to the house for any walks. If there are no parks safely nearby, we would go around the neighborhood. If the dog is athletic, I would take the dog on a hike with me. If the dog is not athletic, I would make sure our walks are short and sweet but that we go out regularly. If there are outdoor festivities going on, and the dog is well-behaved around people, I will take him or her out to that. I love Forest Park and Tower Grove, but generally, unless we are hiking, I will go to a park and the neighborhood closest to the owner's house.
