Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around all different kinds of animals my entire life from large dogs like mastiffs and Rottweilers to cats, snakes, horses, and cows! I have a deep love for animals and even worked as a zookeeper at Austin Zoo. I’m currently working as a vet tech in Pflugerville. I know the responsibility associated with caring for someone’s beloved pet and will always do my best to provide the best care possible!

Janel is our preferred sitter while we are out of town. We can trust that our pup is in good hands, and she keeps us updated on what they’re up to. I get photos of their walks and outings, and updates on how he’s doing along the way. Our pup has some medical issues as well, so we appreciate her care and attention when it comes to his diet and meds for gastro problems. We can rest easy when Louie is in Janel’s care. I highly recommend Janel to anyone looking for a great sitter.
Janel was one of the best dog sitters we’ve had. Our pup was having some medical issues and had to be on a lot of medication while we were away and Janel not only kept him on his med schedule but also helped him to cope with the heat. We came home to a super clean house and a very happy pup. Highly recommend!

I am comfortable with crating dogs if necessary locking dog doors and using the appropriate leashes and harnesses or electric collars if necessary! If there are certain fences or gates that need to be kept closed please notify me and I will make sure that they are secured before a pet is let out

Please let me know what your dog does and doesn’t like! Are they protective of certain toys or areas in the house? What’s their favorite place to go for walks? Do they get along with people or can too much stimulation cause them stress? The more I know the better I can understand and care for your pet
A typical day
I’m a firm believer in getting some fresh air and exercise! In a typical day I’d be taking your pet for at least a 30 minute walk or longer depending on how energetic your pet is! We’ll also play fetch and work on basic commands like recall, sit, stay, wait etc. For some pets I can even introduce puzzle feeders giving them so mind stimulation but also helping them to eat slower for those who tend to gorge themselves.

I’m currently a full-time vet tech and I’d be more than happy to do drop ins and house sitting during the weekends, which I have off. Im always open to discussing scheduling and times as I know life can be hectic!
