Pet care experience
I grew up in a home where we regularly rescued. That said, I have experience with all temperaments and breeds of cats and dogs. I have had to provide insulin shots and oral medication to my babes over the years(both cats and dogs). In my home state, I spent a few years pet sitting for various families. I am unable to have a dog in my current home, so I’d really love to borrow yours when you need a hand! I love hiking, and would love to take your dog or cat with me if that was something you would be okay with! I do prefer to meet the pets with owners present if possible, to ensure the animal needing care and I, connect. Reach out with any questions you may have!

Janel came to housesit for us. Our pets adored Janel and she was great about asking questions regarding their care and the house. She took loads of pictures for us, which was great, and she cleaned up the house before she left. If we ever need someone to watch the house again, we would absolutely ask her to.
Janel was great with my dog, who needs a little extra attention because of his behavior. She stayed at my house and sent me updates and pictures while I was away. She even cleaned up before she left, I couldn't even tell she was there. Brady seemed very happy and content when I returned.

Janel was great! She met us a few times before hand to help us and our pup feel comfortable. Janel went above and beyond bringing Aurora for 3 walks a day and endless cuddles and snuggles. She kept us updated with photos and videos. We knew we left our baby in good hands. If you need some time away and don’t want to worry Janel is your girl.

I understand how to protect your animal from attack and prevent your animal from harming another. With aggression, I would hope to openly discuss with the owners, the animals known triggers and how they handle it to keep training consistent. Any off property care, I would seek approval on prior.

I would love to know of any medical needs the animal has prior to a meet and greet as I understand some needs have time requirements and that could determine my ability to meet your animals care needs. If your animal is aggressive under any circumstance-I’d like to know. It allows me to be prepared, and avoid any compromising situations. Being safe is a great priority of mine. Thank you in advance!
A typical day
I like to match the pace of the animal I am caring for! I would love to work a fitness routine into our care plan if you and your fur baby desire. If your animal has known health or bodily functioning differences from most animals, I am able to cater our care plan to their individual needs. I enjoy playing fetch and running around with pups and I never pass up a chance to play tug-of-war!

Availability
I work 5 days a week usually just 10-7:30. I have two days off a week, typically weekdays. I am available daily 8am-10am in the mornings and 8pm-10pm but am flexible as necessary, with ample notice🙂
