My flexible schedule allows me to spend ample time with your pet and I provide professional service to each and every client. I am booking now for May and June. Book early as spring and summer book up fast. 🐕🐈⬛ Overnight pet care allows you to travel freely, knowing that your pet will be safe and cared for in an environment they are familiar with. Each overnight stay is tailored to you and your pet's personal needs and includes a morning and evening walk, afternoon potty break, all feedings, and regular status updates with photos keeping you informed of how your loved one is doing. I have over ten years of experience working professionally with animals. Taking care of your animals while you are away is a job that I take seriously. I offer the very best service and I am actively engaged with your pets. I will always keep you informed with how they’re doing and am available for you to reach out to if anything comes up that needs attention. I am not JUST a pet sitter. I will take care of your home as if it were my own. Deep freeze? Hurricane? Tornado? Packages? Plants? No problem! I can handle your home while you’re away. In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I am a historian and do most of my work and research remotely, giving me ample time to dedicate to your pets! I have worked with dogs of all breeds, cats, pigs, horses, big cats, goats, camels, snakes, and other reptiles. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, puppies, rescue and shelter dogs with no bite history, dogs with disabilities, and administering medication. I take care of cats too and can provide simple drop-ins or full-scale house sitting so your little one is never lonely. 🐱 Additionally, I offer hourly pet sitting, constant care, and hotel pet sits with rates that accommodate your pet’s individual needs.

Janel was a delight! She made herself available for last minute, late night dog sitting so we could go to the Krewe du Vieux parade. It was such a relief to not feel like we had to rush back home for Redbone. With Janel, we knew he was in capable and kind hands. The two bonded the moment they met, and she sent update pics throughout their night together. We'll definitely ask Janel to hang out with our pooch again soon.
Janel is a professional in attitude and manner. Great with BOTH of my dogs. We returned to a clean house and two happy dogs. I cannot recommend enough.

Any other special services you need pertaining to your home or pets can be discussed. When you book with me, your pets are being entrusted to my care. Therefor, they will not be watched by anyone but me. I also avoid dog parks and other pups on our walks to ensure your loved one doesn’t have any unwelcome altercations while you are away. I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and Pet First Aid and CPR Certified.

I offer a meet and greet before any *first overnight stay in your home.* For new clients only needing walks or drop in visits, a preliminary 30 minute walk is charged for our first get-to-know you visit. It’s important to get a feel for your pet on their turf and have a nice introduction with the owner present. This is a great opportunity for you to meet me and feel comfortable knowing that your pet(s) are going to get the best quality care they deserve. I am happy to work with your pet’s behavior quirks, but I must know about them upfront. If your pet is receiving any training that you would like me to reinforce during our time together, we can cover this at the meet and greet to make sure your loved one stays on track! A typical day
Each stay is designed to fit your needs. I believe dogs need tons of exercise to stay happy and healthy, age and weather permitting. Updates are sent to you at least twice a day with photos and status reports of your pet’s well-being. There’s also fetch and lots of cuddles.

If I’m doing a house sitting job in your home, all I need is wifi and we are set up for a great stay while you’re away! If your pet has special needs and requires more attention than a morning and evening walk, then we can absolutely discuss this on an initial phone call prior to booking. It is important that there is a clear understanding of your expectations so that your pet can get the care and attention they require.
