For Grooming Services: Hullo! As a sort of getting-to-know-you exercise, I have a few questions that will help me tailor my grooming services to best meet your needs as closely as possible: 1. What are your reasons for seeking a housecall grooming service? Have you done in-home services before? 2. When is the last time your pet received professional grooming services, and how many weeks do you usually go between services for your regimen? 3. Are there any special sensitivities to that your pet may have? Sounds, tools, foods, lighting, shampoos, et cetera. 4. Where in your home will I be performing these services and how far from the tub will it be located? 5. Have there been any recent health issues that may impact your pet’s behaviors? Even if it seems minor, it’s best to know these variables. Medications, et cetera. 6. Do you have any reference photos of previous haircuts you liked, or pictures of what sort of appearance you’re aiming for? This helps me when discussing preferences and possibilities. 7. Do you have any questions for me? As a final note, if your dog is too matted, they WILL be trimmed to the longest SAFE length under the mats. For other Home Services: I do prefer to do a casual meet and greet, either publicly or in your home; I like to discuss what commands are commonly used with tour pet, routines, food and limitations, anything that can upset or trigger unusual behaviors (we all have our little quirks, after all), and anything else you’d want me to know. I secretly love spaniels and setters and bird dogs the most; but I enjoy getting to know your furry kiddo one-on-one and finding out what is best about them individually. If you’re a herptile keeper, I am very open to checking on them in the evenings for feeding and cleaning for trips, I DO know how difficult a good gecko sitter is, to find! No hots.

I would defer to owner preferences, but my two favorite parks are Marymoor and Tolt-McDonald, so I’d be likely to go there if there are no limitations or preferences on your part.
