Both of us work from the house. We love dogs and will love yours as well. Mid-sized fenced yard, large house with hardwood floors. Doggies welcome in all rooms. We have dogs and birds (no cats). We have raised six children and many types of pets over the years, but dogs are our love. Over 43 years we have owned 14 dogs, large-medium-small, usually 2-3 at a time. They have all been healthy, loved and long-lived. Some were raised from puppies and some were rescues. All were part of the family. It is because of our love for dogs that we have chosen to be a host for Rover. We have taken training and that, coupled with our extensive experience of loving and parenting dogs, creates a safe and loving environment for your dog, while you are away. Our home is clean and safe and our yard secure. Your dog will be loved and supervised. Your "baby" will be our main focus, while you are away. We only take a few dogs at a time, so we can focus on the special needs of your dog(s). We are happy to feed your dog a special diet, raw food or any vitamins, medications. Please call on us to meet your dog-care needs. Your dog will have his/her own special vacation at our house. We require up-to-date shots for all dogs who stay with us and a copy of your dog's shot record from your vet. We also require that all dogs are spayed or neutered. This should show on your vet shot report. If you send us your e-mail we will send you our dog info sheet which we need for our records. It asks for behavior, things your dog gets into and behavior that we should be aware of. It also ask such things as eating patterns and the brand of food you are feeding, so we know in case you forget to bring enough for the length of your trip. If you choose to book with us, pleas e send your e-mail so we can send the form ahead of time or you can get it at a Meet and Greet. This saves you time when you drop off your pup as drop-offs tend to be rushed as you are on your way to catch a plane or attend an event and if the paperwork is filled out ahead of time, then everyone knows what to expect. We do not take pets who are unhealthy or who refuse to provide records which show they are up to date on shots and any other treatments, Heartguard, or any other preventatives, etc. We also follow your specific directions on food, diet, treats, sleep patterns etc.
