I dog sat for an energetic and loving St. Bernard named Lucy when I was in grad school. Lucy made me want a dog of my own. & so 9 years ago, I adopted Mooshu. He's a lhasa apso-pekingese mix who deeply believes every dog on the planet was put here to be his very best friend. In the last year and a half, I've nursed Mooshu through knee replacement surgery & all the subsequent physical therapy. But now he's good as new, and always on the hunt for new furry friends to play with and/or nap next to. While I've been Mooshu's person, I've also been a regular dog sitter for a variety of dogs, including one with a liver disorder and one with an anxiety disorder. So I'm more than happy to help out with meds and the special needs of your pup! I work from home most days, and have a flexible schedule, so I can work with you to make sure your dog is never left alone for long stretches of time. I love walking with dogs, and I'm an avid runner, so if your dog likes to move, I'll be excited go running with her/him. I'm close to the Rillito River Park, and I run there often. If your dog is more sedentary, we can go for strolls through the neighborhood, and visit the park nearby. And if dog parks are your thing, I'm close to one of those as well, and can take your dog up there for some socialization time. At home, I have a bunch of dog beds, but also will welcome all pups into the bed with me if they're more used to sleeping in human beds. I have a fenced in yard, and a walled in patio, so there will be plenty of outdoor time when the weather isn't too hot!
