ISO friends for Callie and Dave!

Pet care experience

Hello! Thanks for checking out my Rover page! A little about me: My name is Jane and I live in Malden, MA at an apartment building with two dog parks! I recently left my full time job to go back to school (online) so I am home full time and looking for extra canine friends. I live with my husband and our two dogs - Callie (7yo lab) and Dave (6yo frenchie). I have previous experience dog sitting, not only did I grow up with dogs but I worked on a 90 - horse farm for over 7 years where I was responsible for taking care of horses, dogs, cats, etc. and became a regular dog sitter for multiple families. I'm from a family of dog lovers and have never lived without one (except for 2 dreaded dorm years in college). I have experience with dogs with health issues requiring medications, prescription food, high risk meds (chemo), etc. and can help train puppies as well. About Callie and Dave: Our dogs were both 8 weeks when we got them and they are very well trained, socialized, and friendly. We exercise our dogs everyday and can tailor to suit the needs of your pup . We do not have crates for our dogs, they typically spend their day out on walks, chewing bones, and lounging around the apartment. Your dog will receive ample exercise, and most importantly will be treated as though they were our own, with all the love and then some. I am very responsive to messages, I can send you pictures and updates as frequently as you would like. I understand how stressful it can be leaving your dog with someone else so it is always my goal to make sure you trust us and can feel relaxed knowing your pup is in good hands having a great time. Have multiple pups? Just ask, we may be able to work something out!

I hate the thought of leaving my dog while I go off and have fun on vacation, but with Jane, I feel like my dog is the one getting the vacation! I know he gets ample exercise which he needs because otherwise he becomes bored and destructive. Jane even helps with obedience and training. I trust that he is in a loving and fun environment and he comes home happier than ever.

Safety, trust & environment

I am home almost all the time when we have other dogs in our care, other than maybe a trip to the grocery store - while we don't have a crate, I am happy to crate your dog if this is what you prefer. We crate trained our dogs when they were puppies and can absolutely accommodate this. Additionally, any toys or beds you'd like to bring to make it feel more like home for your pup is completely fine, we do the same!

Information Jane M. would like to know about your pet

We like to know your routine to help your pup be successful in a new environment so when do they eat, how often do they go out, any aggression or fears (children, food, other dogs etc.) and any additional info you would like to provide.

A typical day

Physical exercise and mental stimulation are so important for dogs and we provide this everyday. During the week we like to go to the Middlesex Fells Reservation or Breakheart Reservation, there is also a long trail (the Northern Strand Trail) behind our complex where we walk a few days a week. On weekends we might venture further out to Blue Hills or other hiking spots but all depends on the needs of your pup.
