Pet care experience
I am a fourth year veterinary student at UPenn and will be graduating in May. I grew up with dogs and have 12+ years of dog care experience, have worked with rescue dogs as well as those with behavioral challenges, and have over 1,500 hours of veterinary experience. I am comfortable with any and all breeds and temperaments and am eager to make your day easier by meeting your pets’ needs while you are away. I am happy to provide let outs, walking, feeding, medication administration, and basic training if that is something you may be interested in! I am also happy to provide a “report card” after each visit with pictures included, upon request. My schedule is constantly changing, but I am happy to work with you and around both of our schedules to make time to meet your requests. Jane exceeded all expectations when she watched my 7 year old golden retriever, Hunter. I received an update on how he had settled in the night I dropped him off and everyday during his stay with Jane. Jane took great pictures in addition to giving great care to Hunter. Jane also went above and beyond when Hunter developed an ear infection (he is prone to them) during his stay. Jane made sure he received the right medication to ensure he was not uncomfortable. Jane was also very accommodating while scheduling Hunter's initial visit and his drop off and pick-up times. Highly recommend.
Jane was wonderful with Harley! Super professional, very responsive, flexible with time, and sent adorable pictures! I felt incredibly comfortable leaving Harley with her for the week and when I picked him up, I could tell he had a great time. She spent a lot of time with him, and even trimmed a couple knots from his fur. He came back a happy healthy pup :) thank you Jane. I look forward to having you sit for Harley again!
Jane is wonderful! Our dog, Rover, stayed with her for a long weekend and we couldn’t be happier. We got lots of pictures as well as a daily update. Ro got plenty of exercise, attention, and probably more treats than we heard about. We would absolutely use Jane again, I highly recommend her!

I have no breed or temperament preferences/restrictions, however I ask that you disclose all potential behavioral and/or known medical information prior to the day of the visit, so that I may come prepared to provide a fun yet safe experience for both you and your pet. I also understand that pets can be hesitant allowing new visitors into the home. For this reason, I also enjoy learning about any homecoming routines or phrases that you may greet your pet with which may put their minds at ease if they are more protective.
A typical day
I am happy providing walks and/or runs, and I believe that mental stimulation, on top of physical stimulation, is what makes for a happy and tired dog by the end of the day. For that reason, I love to provide basic training sessions (only positive reinforcement), and take them on walks/runs to new parks in the city (upon owner approval, of course!).
