Pet care experience
I have owned and loved dogs since my childhood. Growing up we always had dachshunds...and as an adult, on my own, I’ve loved three Westies, and a white miniature schnauzer (that’s my Baxter in my profile photo, who I sent to Rainbow Bridge 2 years ago). He was my first rescue and now I am looking for my next rescue....needless to say, I am a big fan of little white dogs! I have also groomed all of my dogs myself, as I am also a Short Hair Design Hair Stylist. I am interested in pet care on a part time basis and my schedule is very flexible. At this point, pet care and hair care are my focus for part time work. I think it’s a great combination, as both are rewarding and joyful! I have a fenced patio/yard and no pets at this time. I am a big walker, and love walking dogs too! So your pets will receive all of my love and attention, with safety at the top of my list!

Jane absolutely bestowed a lot of love on my dog when she looked after him. He had not lost any weight when we returned to get him. He looked well cared for and happy. He was exercised every day. She was careful to do what we asked. I highly recommend Jane.
I totally trust Jane with my dog. She is like a Mary Poppins for petsitting -- affectionate but firm and responsible. I know she loves dogs, but is also knowledgeable and wouldn't feed them the wrong thing. I strongly recommend Jane to take care of your fur baby.
Jane took on our anxious little Shih Tzu, and took very good care of her! Anxious ourselves, since we had never left her before, Jane sent us regular updates and pictures. It was so good to see her happy and well adjusted while we were out of town!! Thank you Jane!!!
Jane was willing to take on our puppy (that can come across as very anti-social and still has work to do with training and manners), and while we were initially nervous for both of them, it worked out beautifully! We received pictures and updates regularly and it was obvious our puppy had settled in and was happy and well cared for! Thank you Jane!!!

Information Jane K. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your dog does well with small and large dogs, or prefers to be the one and only top dog! I would also like to know any “quirks”....shy, cautious, skittish, and the like.
A typical day
I live right across the street from a wonderful large park, that also has a very large dog park as well.. and I don’t have to worry about hot pavement...lots of grassy areas. When the weather is cooler, I love to take dogs in the car for rides, if they like it too.

Availability
I am a self employed part time hair stylist, with a flexible schedule. I prefer a minimum of 5 days for boarding your pooch, and happy to board longer if needed.
