I have my bachelors degree in Animal Science from BYU-I. I have a deep passion for caring for animals my entire life. I have always had dogs and cats and have grown up, not only playing and loving them, but evaluating and understanding each dogs different personalities and how they prefer to play, exercise, and receive affection. I am currently a veterinary assistant and I have spent a considerable amount of time doing both Job shadows and internships with veterinary clinics and have volunteered at the Snake River Animal Shelter consistently, which has taught me how to understand animal behavior and how to comfort them when they are distressed. My favorite class from college was Animal Behavior and Handling, where we focused on animal psychology so that we could understand how an animal thinks and why they behave the way they do and then to use that knowledge to communicate effectively with them about what we want and to build a bond of trust with any animal.
