I have a huge heart for animals, especially cats & dogs. Growing up we had several different breeds of dogs and my husband & I also raised our kids around them. Having animals teaches you compassion, empathy, responsibility and even discipline. Whether it is dogs, cats, bearded dragons, ferrets, hamsters, turtles, hermit crabs, parakeets or a sugar glider (all of which we have owned) also teaches them to love something other than themselves! I am passionate about treating your fur babies the way I would want mine treated while away (whether in your home or mine). My husband & I enjoy taking your pups for walks & giving them lots of pup/cat cuddles & reducing their anxiety from being away from you while you travel. While at my home they are free to roam in our safe & secured backyard or the house but always under close supervision. Mental stimulation is also important to me & I usually use stuffed Kongs, snuffle or lick mats, treat dispensing balls & puzzles that i put healthy snacks in for them to try and retrieve. My dream is to own enough land to be able to foster & remove pups from kill shelters or overcrowded animal shelters. I have cared for multiple breeds and each are so unique & teach me something every time i care for them. Whether I'm caring for puppies, or seniors safety is my utmost priority. Soon after Covid quarantine ended, I had the ability to follow, train and learn with a very successful petsitting business called Southlake Critter Care and owner, Jenny Manning. There i learned not only the origin of animal behavior based on the breed, but how to manage & provide positive reinforcement. This is why meet and greets are very necessary to evaluate and determine if your fur baby would be able to have the best & positive experience with my pack during their stay. I feel it would be an absolute privilege to be chosen to care for your fur babies and I promise you I will treat them as an extension of our family. This will include love, snuggle time, brushing &/or whatever your fur baby loves to do. I also will respect those that are frightened or shy and allow them to go at their own pace, you tell me what their favorite past time is! Our pets are considered part of our family & are allowed on our furniture. We have many safe toys that are cleaned in between each stay and your fur baby is monitored for any chewing or tearing of the toys (they just want that dadgum squeaker anyways!) Most of our toys are for "tough chewers" We keep them on a routine & walk them daily ( depending on rain or extreme heat) your fur babies will be well cared for & very worn out! While staying at our home we keep them on your diet & feed them all separated. I respect any family who allows me to come into their home & care for their pet! Caution: they may be spoiled with daily brushing & lots of cuddle time🐶❤️ Just for bragging rights, my daughter is a senior veterinarian student at Midwestern University and her fur babies (my grandfurs) are all rescues. Our senior dog, Bode, was diagnosed with diabetes for the last couple of years until his little body couldn’t take it anymore. I gave him insulin twice a day. He lived to 13 & was surrounded with family when he took his final breath😭😭
