Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting and dog walking for the past 8 years. I have space for two more weekly dog clients who need midday daily walks between the times of 10am-3pm. Currently, I have 5 regular dog clients who have been with me for 2 years or longer.

Jan was terrific. Quick to respond and very professional with fair pricing for great service. Felt very comfortable having her come into our home to look after our senior cat.
Jan S was wonderful with our senior dog of 12 years old. She spent a great amount of time getting to know our fur baby before his first walk and was so personable and kind from the start. Jan would send plenty of pictures along his long walks and would give updates on how well he did for the day. Recently we learned our fur baby was not doing well during one of his vet visits. The vet suggested putting him down and I had to cancel one of Jan's walks. Jan was so caring and empathic with our situation and even called to see how things were going. If you care about your pet and you want a piece of mind about their care, when you have to trust someone else to care for them, I would highly recommend Jan S!
Jan was wonderful with Shep! She went above and beyond calming Shep during a storm and making sure he ate while we were gone. She was an excellent dog sitter and we would be happy to recommend her to any of our friends. We will certainly use her again.

I live in the Southwest Garden neighborhood and am willing to drive ~16 miles round trip from my home to visit your pet. While I am walking your dog, I am very safety and weather aware. We do not approach any other dogs and cross the street when needed during our walks. I pay attention and follow the safety guidelines for, “When it is too hot or too cold for walking for your dog.” And I always do the sidewalk touch test before we start on our walk during summertime. Over the years, I have learned many creative ways to enjoy pet visits during the hot summers.

It is very important for me to know if your dog has any issues when walking on a leash. Things like: pulling very hard when he/she sees another dog. Barks at other dogs and people. Does not like certain dogs in your neighborhood.
A typical day
My dog walks on average are one mile long. I usually let your dog choose which way they would like to walk during our first couple of visits since your pet knows his / her neighbor. After our first week together walking we have created a route that we both enjoy. Once we get to know each other better, we really start exploring your neighborhood and will have many different routes.

Availability
Do you ever need help with an early morning walk, breakfast, dinner or bedtime visits? I can help with that. I’m also a cat sitter and I have many cat clients who have been with me for many years. Going out of town or on vacation and need help with your cats or other small pets? I’m your gal. I work nights 3 days a week and with a week notice and I change when I work nights to fit your schedule.
