Pet care experience
DOG/HOUSESITTING Paul does most of the pet and housesitting because Jan broke her femur two years ago -- that has taken its toll. Because he works from home/your home, and the setup and take down is laborious he only takes stays that are at least five days long. He's in cyber security. BOARDING Because Paul is gone housesitting a lot, Jan takes dogs for boarding who are older and with low energy levels. Our little guy (Typo) is older and the higher-energy dogs make him nervous. We don't take dogs under three years old. Dogs must be okay not being walked, instead released in our large, fenced backyard. We've had over 30 years of experience with dogs. We've owned four dogs of different sizes. We have a 4 1/2 # Papillion/Yorkie rescue who is laid back - most of the time. He is 12 years old and an old man. We'd love to have a steady, similar-sized playmate. Our guy actually does better with larger dogs. We've done sitting for several older dogs that don't need walks, (just yard time) and just need some loving attention. We take our little guy out in our yard for piddle breaks. Both of us work from home. We love having returning dogs. We always do a Meet and Greet before agreeing to care to make sure it's a good fit, for us, for you and your dog. We have a standard list of questions and want to hear what you are specifically looking for. Paul is high-risk on six different areas, so although most people are no longer wearing masks, we ask that you wear a mask if you come for a Meet and Greet in our home. We always feed dogs separately. We send daily photos and occasionally videos with a little report on how your dog is doing. DAYCARE is not a one-day deal. It would be a long-term arrangement, over weeks and months. Why we love dog sitting. We've owned dogs off and on for over 45 years. At one point we had 4 kids, five cats, two dogs, fish, a bird, and a bunny! Now we have our little dog, "Typo."
Reviews
Thank you for taking such good care of our girls again! They love their Uncle Paul.
Always wonderful for Jan and Paul to watch our dog. Very compassionate sitters who provide great updates and a loving environment.
This is the third or fourth time Paul has sat for our dog and we always know she’s in great hands with him. Jan sends frequent video and photo updates so we feel connected. The house is immaculate when we return and even the house plants look like they’re in better shape after a week with Paul 😄
Jan and Paul are just the best. Our flight home was cancelled multiple times and our trip away from our girls was extended. They were so flexible and accommodating in response. This was a godsend as there is nobody else we would trust to watch our babies while we are away. Thank you both so much.

He takesphotos daily and send them your way so that you know your pets are happy and well cared for.

Information Jan & Paul J. would like to know about your pet
Paul has a lot of experience with dog/housesitting. We've had dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as cats that we've been told he will never see, but they end up taking treats from him and coming to him for attention! He tends to koi ponds, fills hummingbird feeders, even gathers eggs from chickens.
A typical day
Paul can do walks with dogs. Our little guy does a loop that is a little over a 1/4 mile. Boarding, we do yard time. Your dog's sleeping arrangement would be with us, in their own bed, or crated, whatever your pet is used to. Time we'll spend with your dog We let Typo out multiple times a day, as needed. Otherwise, our little guy tends to sleep near me as I write. Any time I'm up, we tend to take a little break and play. Your dog would typically be with me all day, unless I run an errand.
