Your pets BEST FRIEND <3

Pet care experience

Hey, I'm Jamie and I'd love to care for your animal companions and give them a fun, safe and memorable experience. I just moved from the DC area transitioning between jobs...I am available full-time to come over to your place in decent proximity to Sudbury. I was working full-time with an Animal Rights organization - saving animals on the daily so as you can imagine I care tremendously for all animals and their well-being. I've fostered dogs for 13 years, worked with many rescue groups, handle animal emergencies (including wildlife) on my work's National Pager & manage dogs and cats with special needs, including administering medicine and working with disabilities. I'm 'that person' who will run across the street to say hi to a dog and get their name. I know every dog's names in my building/complex, but couldn't tell you their guardians names! I love to cuddle, play on the floor and give all my attention to your babies! I just put my 11 year old dog to sleep a few months ago and although my heart aches, it's filled with happiness in the company of other animals. My dog Kobi was very special needs: Diabetic, blind & deaf and so I tended to his many medical needs. I am a trusting, respectful and compassionate person and will provide your furry family members with a save and loving environment. I look forward to hearing from you for a meet and greet!

Jamie is an amazing pet sitter! I can't imagine a more perfect person to look after your pet. She is a true animal lover and you can tell instantly how much she cares for and connects with your pet. She is trustworthy and easy to get along with. Jamie watched our pet for two weeks while we were away on our Honeymoon. We didn't worry at all knowing they were in good hands. She sent updates and photos throughout our time away. You won't regret hiring Jamie to look after your pet -- I can't recommend her enough!

Jamie is my little sister and best friend for 30+ years! Ever since she came into this world she's been a huge lover of animals. We've had dogs our whole lives. She's mommy to the most spoiled, relaxesdand easy going pug Kobi. She's not just all about Kobi, she falls in love with every dog she sees! We tag each other on every dog video on social media almost daily. That same type of communication will be translated towards updates about your loved ones under her watch. She has fostered various dogs with the same love and attention she gives to Kobi, until they found the right owners together. It's not just dogs she's infatuated about but pretty much any animal. She didn't become a Veterinarian because she couldn't bear the idea of having to put any animal to sleep. The bravest person I've ever known, she gave up the corporate world working in New York City to take on an important full-time position with PETA, a worldwide known non-profit organization and the epitome of standing for all things animals. On behalf of Peta, she has ventured into the most broken down and poorest of neighborhoods where she saved countless chained and neglected animals. Of course working for a non-profit, you can find a lot of meaning and purpose with your life but that type of a career isn't the most lucrative. I finally convinced her to join Rover as a way to make a side income and know for sure she can make a name for herself as the ultimate pet whisperer, watcher, walker, etc. Trying not to be bias but she is probably the best care taker option for your furry loved one that you'll ever decide to work with. Once you go Jamie, you'll never go back. In fact, your furry loved one might not want to come back to you because of the unbelievable attention and love she will give your pet. All kidding aside, you can feel 110% safe and secure knowing your pet is getting Premium Top Shelf Care.

Information Jamie S. would like to know about your pet

Our building restricts pit bulls :-( I need to know what their potty schedule is like and if they are okay in a busy area with a lot of traffic/noise and other dogs. It's a safe home, but outside can be overstimulating and can be overwhelming for anxious dogs who are not used to a city-like area. I always walk them towards residential neighborhoods where it's more quiet to bring them into a peaceful area, but it's good to know if your pup doesn't like this as I would recommend another sitter location.

A typical day

We have a great residential area and I usually take dogs on different paths to change it up. We live across the street from a park and usually stroll around the Bethesda neighborhood with lots of grass and places to smell. If the dog is active, I'll take them on a long walk along the Capital Crescent Trail which is right nearby. I have toys in my home or we can play with toys you bring and will play until the pup is tired and will also cuddle them as much as they allow. There are plenty of dogs in this area, so they will see a lot of other dogs, but I keep a distance to be safe and would only allow safe interaction per their guardians request.
