Pet care experience
An animal lover to the core, I grew up in rural Montana owning a variety of animals. I have 2 elderly cats and a flock of chickens (in a fenced run). If your pet is not proven to be GREAT with cats please look elsewhere for a pet sitter. I often watch friends, co-workers, and neighbors dogs, cats, ranch animals, and homes. I am looking for something to help pass the time of the winter months when I am not as active.

Jamie took the best care of my boys while I was out of town for a few days. She updated me regularly and loved them like they were her own. I don’t believe it gets any better than that when I have to leave them behind. I know they will be happy to see her again one day!
This was the first time I used Rover and the first time I have written an internet review. I want to make sure others know what a great person and dog walker Jamie R. is! I contacted Jamie through Rover at the last minute on December 22, when our dog boarding plans fell through because our Irish Setter went into heat. We were leaving on December 24! Jamie graciously agreed to walk Leia twice-a-day for 5 days, even though she was boarding another dog. We met to make sure the two dogs would get along, and Jamie faithfully fed and walked my dog twice daily--even bringing her a Christmas bone (but asking me first)! She sent photos of every walk, and responded promptly to my texts. I highly recommend Jamie R. for any dog care needs you may have!
Jamie was a wonderful Rover! I have an elderly pet and was a little nervous about how he would do for a week with someone he didn't know. Jamie sent me pictures every day and it was totally clear that Scamp was 100% comfortable with her. I would absolutely book Jamie again next time I need a pet sitter!
Not only is Jamie an amazing human being in general, but she also happens to be an animal lover and our go-to for our rotty/lab mix (Mildred) when we are out of town. The best thing about leaving Millie in Jamie's care is that we can focus on our time away knowing that Millie is in a happy, healthy, loving, safe environment. On top of that, Millie comes home happy and tuckered out from a fun weekend of activity. A tired dog is a happy dog. :) I highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for critter care.

We live in a small, not heavily trafficked neighborhood with a few trail systems nearby to provide exercise. I also own one elderly cat so animal must be good with cats. I also rent so I do require that your pet has proven to be non destructive to property. In addition I have a flock of chickens in a chicken run in the backyard, so absolutely no diggers or proven chicken killers. When house sitting I am clean and respectful. As long as there is a wifi signal for work I am all set. Can provide multiple references. Covid cautious, fully vaccinated. To be fair, if multiple people try to book for the same dates I will accept the first to set up a successful meet and greet date.

Does the dog have a history of chewing on things, destroying things, jumping up on doors or windows (breaking blinds) or digging. I do rent so any damage of property would be a condition I cannot accept. What are their favorite toys and treats? What are their favorite activities? Favorite music genre and TV show? Big spoon or little spoon? Describe your pets perfect date! How can I make your pets stay the easiest and most comfortable for both them & their owner?
A typical day
Walks by the river off leash if the dog is friendly with other dogs. Leashed walks or jogs around the neighborhood. Hikes. Camping, backpacking, or rafting if your dog is into that sort of thing & owner approves.

Availability
I am willing to host any animal that is good with cats & in my home and have proven to not be destructive to the property & not a digger (ie won't try to get into the chicken run). We have a large fenced yard and live right on the river! In addition to that I am a responsible and respectful house sitter, or just enjoy a little company on a good walk, or snowshoe adventure. I work from home Monday thru Friday and can provide 24 hour attention, care, and snuggles. In the winter I am often home weekends. In the summer I am not available on weekends unless your pet loves camping, backpacking or rafting, then they are welcome to join in the adventure! Message me with further questions about activities and adventures on unavailable dates to see if we can accommodate your pet and their desired adventure levels.
