Happy family home, fenced in yard!
Pet care experience
Your dog will be safe and happy staying with us in our roomy Happy Valley split level home. We have a spacious fenced-in backyard, allowing for lots of ball throwing and hangout time with my friendly Springer Spaniel, Sprout. I love taking the dogs on hilly and wooded neighborhood walks, as well as the school yard nearby (for off-leash fun, if you allow!) I have two younger children who LOVE dogs, but are also learning boundaries with them at the same time. If you feel your dog wouldn't want occasional and/or frequent pets and doggie hugs, we might not be a great fit. I pride myself on providing more of a warm, caring homey stay, versus the “kennel” sort of feel. I don’t watch more than two dogs at a time. I like to keep my focus on your sweet pup, treating them as my own. I will be around for your pup most of the day, as I continue life as mostly stay-at-home mama with some minor commitments here and there. We look forward to meeting your pup and giving them the best “staycation” ever!
Reviews
Jamie did a wonderful job watching our high energy golden retriever puppy, Lucille! She and her dog and kids kept her busy with lots of playtime and walks, and she was extremely communicative. We really appreciate that Lucille had such a great place to stay and would definitely use Jamie again!
Molly was quite well cared for in her stay with Jaime. She seemed very comfortable during her visit and got to go on plenty of walks. I think Molly made a new friend.
Jamie and her family do a fantastic job dog sitting! My dog comes home happy and exhausted after playing with her dog and kids. She does a great job communicating and makes me feel comfortable leaving my pup in capable hands.
Jamie and her family took such great care of our pup! I felt 100% confident leaving her in their hands for the weekend. They sent tons of pictures and our girl came back home happy and exhausted from lots of play!

I have a spacious fenced-in backyard where the dogs (and kids) love to play. I can easily crate your pup if needed. Otherwise, most doggos love climbing up on the couch or loveseat and snoozing there (or taking over Sprout’s dog bed, which she will happily give up, seeing how she prefers to sleep in our bed anyway)!

Information Jamie M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your dog has the tendency for getting sick (vomit, diarrhea, nervous pooping indoors). I totally understand dogs getting a little upset when nervous, but I’m sorry, I cannot watch a dog who has diarrhea. Also, are they barkers? If it takes them a lot of coaxing to stop loud barking and whining, we won’t be a good fit. This is a family home, not a kennel. I’d also like to know if your dog can be trusted not to chew or destroy items other than dog toys and chew toys. Can they be trusted alone in a new and different environment? Have they been left before? How did they do? I need to know if your dog is up-to-date on all vaccinations and currently taking a flea and tick preventive. Safety first! I would like to know how the dog acts with young children, and if there’s any history of biting/nipping/growling, or if the dog hasn't been exposed to children. I'd also like to know if the dog is good off-leash (and potentially good with other dogs at the park).
A typical day
If you have a ball-dog, you’re especially in luck! We have a spacious backyard for tossing the ball and running around. Plus we live just a block away from a large fenced-in school for more extreme chuck-it, frolicking and socializing with the neighborhood dogs and families! I love taking the dogs on hilly neighborhood walks, hanging out with them and the kids, and just including them as one of us!

Availability
I work part-time just a few hours a day during the week (if that! Not always) but mostly a homemaker. I’m flexible and around a lot. I’m available weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. When it’s time to walk over to school to pick up my kiddo, I often enjoy taking the pups along with me!
