When I was younger I was obsessed with dogs. I volunteered at any shelter that would allow me to at my age. Starting at 10-years-old, I helped families adopt shelter dogs at Chicago Wolves hockey games. I mainly focused on puppies and small dogs, but I am comfortable with all sizes and breeds. I would also dogsit for my neighbors whenever they were gone for a few hours or on vacation. They relied on me to walk, feed, and take the dogs out to use the bathroom. At home (when I'm not in Champaign for school), I have two dogs, Denny and Rue. Rue has extremely high anxiety and does not like men and Denny is a senior dog with back and vision problems. Both of my dogs have given me exceptional experience with dogs who require special attention and care.
