My passion for wildlife and animals started as far back as I can remember. I spent five years at my first job at Noah’s Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. My job title was “pet care specialist,” which means I took care of all the boarding animals staying at the hospital. Over time, my heart grew with love as I got to know our clients and their owners. Sometimes owners would specifically ask for me to get their boarding loved ones, because they knew, just from speaking with me, that they were in good, loving hands. My experience there gave me the opportunity to radiate positivity through my passion: making sure these souls were loved and treated fairly. I wouldn’t trade the experience and memories I made there for anything. I have one fur baby myself, and I love her more than anything in this world. Her name is Schwartzie, a pit bull/lab mix. She is family, and I spoil her with loads of TLC, snuggles, and treats. Whenever I’m sad or stressed, she will just stare at me, with her big brown eyes, giving me reassurance that she will always be there for me. I adopted Schwartzie from a shelter, and I am a huge advocate for adopting. Most animals end up in a shelter through no fault of their own. We have the ability to help these innocent, and usually mistreated, animals, so why the heck would we not do everything we can to make life better for them? I want to make the world a better place, and Rover seems like the perfect tool to use to meet new people and their pups. I will give them the love they deserve because all dogs hold a very special place in my heart.
