I was really looking forward to Riley staying with Jami again. She's such a sweet woman and always makes time to do a meet and greet. Her son, JT, also lends a helping hand, which is a bonus! However the few things we discussed were not taken into consideration, like his daily vitamin. I gave her enough to have two left over & I came home to none being administered. That is an essential nutrient that Riley needs for his skin and itching, and he had multiple new dry spots. I did not receive check-ins and few pictures. The lack of communication was apparent. This was not the first time I used her to watch Riley. I got feedback that he was skiddish and took up her couch. Riley was extremely abused for four years before adopting him. That is in my profile. There are ways to comfort an animal when you know their history. So with all her expertise, I assumed Jami would be okay with watching him. He was happy when I picked him up (had to wait over ten minutes when the pick up time was arranged) and this I found to be disrespectful. I returned from a flight and was eager to get home and have dinner. All in all he was okay. So that I'm grateful for that. She has had animals her whole life and that takes skill. The amount of love you give to an animal should be reflected in your communication. Jami and her son JT are good people. I just experienced the lack of communication and care on her part. That was disappointing.
